Hello everyone I thought I would pop in and say hi and give you an update. I have been staying off the scale because my weight has been changing so much due to the fluid problems I have been having from my hernia and skin removal surgery. They have put in 2 different sets of drains and I still was filling up with large amounts of fluid, it got so bad it even started stretching the skin back out on my lower abdomen. So this past Thursday my PS got me back in the operating room and drained out all the fluid and cut more of the skin away and put 4 drains in. The PS did a great job removing even more excess skin and making my lower abdomen even tighter than before. I am still a little sore and these drains hurt a little bit but with the pain meds they gave me it isn't to bad. The worst part of it all this is it will set me back a few more weeks before I can start working out again. It has been since the first of February that I have been in the gym and pool, and it is driving me crazy. I have been doing a lot of walking to try and keep in shape but it sure isn't the same as lifting weights, and swimming. I will update again soon, hope everyone has a great week. Alan H

Alan, Thank you so much for checking in with us! I'm going to put your profile on my favorite's list so I can find you when you don't check in! I'm so sorry you are having trouble with draining and that your PS journey has been complicated! I sure hope what the PS did this time will solve the problem and when these drains come out they will be the last! CeCe

Well, most of my week was pretty good... I did a bunch of yard work at my mom and dad's last Wednesday... 5 hours worth with no breaks, except for drinking some water now and then... So I got some exercise in... I did do a fair amount of grazing this past week end but overall it was a pretty good and focused week.... I wish I could have been more focused about getting some exercise in, I just can't seen to get motivated for that... Soooo here are my stats: Starting weight = 309 Last weeks weight = 193 This weeks weight = 190 Loss this week = -3 Total Loss = -119 Have a great week everyone!!!! HUGS to all, Shawn M.

Hello, Gang! There are several posts I want to reply to but I'm just too tired right now! I had the MRI today and, of course, the tech doesn't tell you anything. I go back to the doctor on Friday! I did an hour of strength training and 3 miles on the treadmill this morning. My weight is still at 130.25 most days of the week and the highest was 131.50 so I'm staying pretty stable despite my overindulgences. Britt, I was reading about hypoglycemia after WLS not long ago because I think I have that too at times. The symptoms you mentioned I've had too. It seems to be happening to a number of post-WLSers. I'm so bummed about Valorie's house burning. She had that car accident not long ago and now this. I feel so badly about the situation. CeCe

Hi CeCe, I am glad that your MRI is done. Keep us posted on your results. Good job 130.25 i think reactive hypoglycemia is more common and i think some people may have it and are not sure *what* it is. Can you test your blood sugars - when youu get the feeling hugs, Britt
