Weekly Weigh In week of 3/31/08
Hello everyone!
I don't know what is going on with OH but something is up. I finally was able to log in after several tries this morning.
Britt, I am glad you are doing well. You seem to "set the pace" on our board and when you are down, we are all down. Spencer is in a good home and he is happier now that he gets all of the attention he wants. He doesn't have to share with those pesky children any more I hope your mother is doing well. Emergency hernia repair doesn't sound good. I have at least one hernia but it really doesn't bother me. My PP tells me it just has some subcutaneous fat sticking through. (nice visual eh?) She did say that if it begins to hurt me to let her know immediately. I think it is just one of those things that happen sometimes. I have heard of people getting insurance to pay for a TT because of the hernia though. I sure hope I am one of those folks! It would be nice not to have to pay out of pocket for it.
I have an appt for an initial consult with a PS on Thursday! I can't wait to see what he tells me. I know he will tell me to lose 50 more lbs first but I can still hope.
I had a successful week. I ate right and exercised 5 days. I even went dancing on Saturday. I danced, and danced and danced. The scale just isn't my friend. What else can I say?
Last week: 205
Today: 206
Gain: 1 lb
I have started my "time-out" this morning. I plan on liquid protein drinks until I see the scale move below 200! If it takes 1 week or 1 month...I am TIRED of 200 +. I will see onederland!!!!!! I have the will power to beat the darn scale!
I hope everyone has a great week. I am sure I will be asking for some help/support by weeks end. I know you guys will be there for me!

Hello November buddies,
This has been a better week for me! Although I only got one exercise session with the PT in, my eating has been more controlled. I started on a bubble gum binge so then I switched to SF gum. Well, now I'm trying to detox from gum altogether. The PT I'm working with is also a nutritionist so she is really helping me in areas I had no clue about.
So here's my stats for this week:
Starting weight = 312.4
Last week = 190.4
This week = 187.4
Loss this week = 3 lbs!!!
Total loss = 125
Current BMI = 31.1
Hope everyone has a great week,
Deidrah
Go Deidrah!
A 3 lb week is fabulous! Keep focused and you will be at goal in no time.
You must share your PT's advice. Why no gum? I have heard that chewing gum helps to curb cravings. The trainers on "The Biggest Loser" swear by it. Of course I know that XTRA is a paying advertiser for the show.
Hmmm. Inquiring minds want to know.
Have a great week and keep up the good work.
Hugs,
Valorie
Congrats to everyone.
Yeah our old Britt is back!
CeCe I want to see that dress girl!
Val - all liquids help me but when I come off I have to plan what I eat or I'm back to square one. It is a great detox though.
I am doing Ok. I'm still up and down within about a 3 pound range. This week was down. EXERCISE - I have got to get up in the mornings and do it because I obviously don't have time later in the day.
I'm 167 - down 191 from where I started.
I do plan on running a 5 K Britt. I'm still a little sore from the TT - like when I run the jolt of hitting back on the road makes my scare hurt all the way around. Any one know if this is normal?
Trudy
Hi Trudy!

That pain do not sound normaL???? Maybe CeCe can share?

Britt
Britt I have an appointment with my OB/GYN today and I am going to ask him about it. I'm sure he will at least be able to tell me if it is normal. If it is I am thinking of some sort of binder or something so I can start running.
There is a local one in May - I wonder if I could be ready?
Document ... Document ... Document ... - skin rashes, back aches, other skin issues.
I posted pictures of what they took off and what I look like with clothes on now but... no nudies!
I have gotten my swimming suit and I 'm going to take a picture and put it up. I'm not Britt in her Victoria Secret Small Bikini but... I'm much better than I've ever been!
Yes - I want to say I've lost 200. Doctor is happy where I am.
Thanks Britt - it is good to have our cheerleader/motivator/mentor back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hugs Trudy
Trudy,
I did well on liquids yesterday. The scale moved down this morning. However, I am not claiming the loss till I see it again tomorrow. I have my plan together for liquids today too. For me, the liquids are a double help. I can control my protein and calories as well as it being very low sodium. Fluid retention is one of my biggest problems. I tend to eat processed foods too often. Canned chicken, weigh****chers soups or entrees and even when I cook, I add salt for flavor. Doing all liquids plus drinking my normal gallon of water/crystal light/green tea- really flushes out the fluids. I bet I went "potty" at least 20 times yesterday! And It cleaned out the colon/bowel too, which is a blessing in itself. All in all, a great day yesterday.
Now, today is already tougher. Stress at work is off the chart today. Also, someone just heated up some Lasagna in our office microwave and the smell is KILLING ME! I wish I could toss the office microwave out the front door. What office has a microwave and a refrigerator right up front? We are not talking the break room here (where there are a host of appliances and vending machines), they are litterally in th front office!
Anyway, sorry for the rant. The smell is really getting to me. I made myself a reminder note and posted it to my computer screen. It asks these questions,
Are you really hungry? OR.....
are you bored?
are you emotional?
are you stressed?
are you thirsty?
It helps me to remember why I want food and that food is not the answer.
Hugs,
Valorie
