Weekly Weigh In week of 2/25
Hi all
It seems like everyone is finding a challenge or two to over come this week. I am still battling this sinus infection I saw the doctor Monday for yet another dose of antibiotics, she put me on Doxicycline which you can't take 3 hours before or after having dairy products or vitamens and minerals such as calcium iron etc. So I'm totally stressing about my routine of taking vitamens and drinking my protein. I have been so dizzy and have had a excrutiating headache since last Wednesday I've been scared to drive so I've stayed home for the past few days. Also the Doc said no swimming until we get this cleared up. I'm beginning to loose hope since this is my 3rd dose of antibiotics plus a dose of prednizone. Well enough of my whining.
Starting weight 298.5
Last week = 159.2
This week = 159.2
Loss this week = 0
Total loss = 139.3
Current BMI = 29.1
I am so thankfull through all this that I'm maintaining my weight I really feel that if I started to feel normal again I could drop a few more pounds. We had a really good conversation on snacking at group this week. The psychologist that runs the group actually made us go back to talking about snacking and what we can do about it. One of the ladies at Saturday coffee came up with making a jar of things you can do instead of snacking when your battling head hunger. I made up my own list and will put them in a jar.

I know you must be frustrated battling that sinus infection and having to be on antibiotics yet again. I just wanted to say that you must be eating well not to gain after being on prednisone! I'm hoping that this round of antibiotics does it for you and you can be back to normal. There are so many people sick right now and my sinuses are bothering me more (knock on wood) than they have in months and months. Keep hanging in there!

I don't usually post but I have been having a difficult time lately so I thought I would reach out. I have been maintaining my weight within 4 pounds since early December but I am finding that lately I have been eating CRAP! It isn't showing on the scale but I don't wanmt to fall back into old patterns. I work out regularly so that is my saving grace but I think I need to start keeping a food diary so I am aware of exactly what I am eating and make sure I am getting the protien and nutrition.

Good to see you here! If you've gone back and read any of the posts since Christmas, you'll see you are not in that boat alone! So many of us here have been feeling exactly like you! The call of the Carbs is loud and strong and so many of us are feeling the same fear you expressed! I think a food diary is a great idea. Have you tried Fitday.com or Spark People or any of the online programs that help you keep track of the calories, fat, carbs and protein? If you have the time, join us here more often. This is an active and very supportive group!
