Weekly Weigh In week of 2/25
Christy,
So many of us seem to be having grazing issues! I wonder if it has anything to do with the weather? I still think it's post-holiday/vacation with me. I'm still having a heck of a time getting back on track! Have fun traveling and celebrating the 5th birthday!!! I'm so glad you are posting again!

Christy,
I still do not find it easy - this maintaining business! I am up right now. I am being VERY strict - so I can weigh in at 140 on Monday ...I know weight can flucuate normally - but seeing it gets me you know????
I know what you measn with grazing - that is my problem too!
For me I need to stay 1200 calories and stick with 3 meals, exercise and 128 of water and CL.
Try the 5dpt - maybe that will help with the grazing?? - though your BMI is still in the lower range of NORMAL ... I think you are just fine!
YOU SKINNY LI' LADY!!!
I love your new Avatar !
hugs,
Britt
It's been an interesting week for me. Henry lost his job and I dipped a couple pounds mid-week, but I picked back up the last day or so, so I'm posting a one pound gain. I set up an appointment with my employer for tomorrow to get a re-entry plan for next week when I go back to work. I will start part time for the first week at least. But I have alot of catching up to do. I've been off for 5 months. They must really like me to hold my job for that long. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone and getting back in the swing of things.
I saw my counselor today and we talked about a financial plan to address all my debt from my medical bills. I've been paying about $600 a month for my out-of-pocket, and that has been really hard with me not working full time. So it will be good to get back to it. I am also organizing my bills with this new software I got called Quicken Medical Expense Manager. I have to estimate how much to withhold from my paycheck for my flexible spending account, and I don't even have a handle on what I spent last year. I am hoping this year will be less expensive, though. Hopefully I can stay out of the hosptial.
Starting weight 202
Last week = 111
This week = 112
Loss this week = +1
Total loss = 90
Current BMI = 19.2
Kim,
You have a lot going on right now! Hopefully, Henry will be able to step back into his old line of work fairly easily. Has he made steps to do so?
With your employer saving your job at least you can ease back into work without having to search for a new job. I hope the transition back to work goes easily.
Good luck with the budgeting stuff. Was any of your most recent surgery paid by your insurance?

Unfortunately he has not taken any steps yet to re-license himself. He's seemed overwhelmed with the unemployment insurance application. Taken him 5 days to just register and fill out paperwork, fax documents to the department, etc.
The insurance paid the hosptial bill of $31,000, but it has denied the surgeon's fee of nearly $5,000, the anesthesiologist fee of over $2,000, and all the home health visits, my pump, supplies and food for my feed tube, which currently is over $2,000. I owe about $10,000. But I am appealing. My surgeon is supposed to be writing a letter for me to add to my denial letter. I called to check on the status of that today but haven't gotten the call back.
I finally got my appeal in the mail for my denied long term disability. We will see what they say.
Kim,
I'm sorry that you have all that additional stress to deal with. I wish you had only to focus on your healing and your return to work. Considering all that has been heaped upon you, I think you dealt with it extremely well. Many people would have fallen apart. You are a very strong woman. I hope and pray that all those bills and the long term disability issue will be settled and you'll get a nice check from long term disability to help you guys get back on your feet in a nice way!

I am glad you ended up with a pound .... great job!
How did your plan go for re-entry with your boss! You must do a great job and be well liked there! That must make you feel really good, it is nice how they have treated you - when you needed to take care of you!!!!
Hope Henry find a terrific job soon
hugs,
Britt
The meeting went GREAT! I am the luckiest person in the world, I swear! They love me there. I was greeted by 6 people when I walked in. And my boss gave me a big hug. We talked for over an hour and it is apparent he is looking for me to come back and take the lead in the HR department once again. And also still be his right-hand person. He's just been skimming by on his own, mostly, since I've been gone. Hadn't replaced me with anyone else to help him. He said they missed me terribly, and the people who filled in for me while I was out, while they did a good job, it was "no where near the quality of your work."
So I got lots of assurances. Not only for my job, but for my health. I will be working 1/2 days the first week, and he just wants me to get settled in my new office. No starting projects or anything at least for a week.
I love my employer!
Kim,
I'm glad to read this and wonder how you made it through that appointment and then went to the ER!!! I hope you can get back to the job soon and FEEL GOOD! I have a Master's Degree in Public Administration and always wanted to get into HR but ended up in Social Work working with and counseling clients.
I'm so glad you can go back 1/2 days at first. And, it sounds like the boss won't be upset if that turns into 2 weeks instead of one!
