Advice about exercise equipment
So, I've been thinking about getting something to use at home for exercise. I have an exercise room at my apt complex, but it is small and very busy. It's hard to find a time to get there when no one else is.
I thought about a gym membership, but with my work hours(sometimes 3am to 6pm), I don't know when I would be able to go and I don't want to waste money.
I saw an infomercial in Tv for the Orbitrek Elite. It's an elliptical machine that seems very affordable, but I know next to nothing about these things. Any opinions from any one here?
Here's the link if you haven't seen it.

I know from experience (expensive experience!) that I just never use any exercise equipment in my home. But, if you are someone who will actually use what you buy--I say that the eliptical is your best bet. I try to do the eliptical every day. It's my favorite cardio exercise.
Enjoy!

Hi Phyliss,
I have bought exercise equipment in the past - and have used it as a coat rack, "for me" my $$$ is much better off being spent on a gym membership - because in my house - I don't use it and if I do - the work out is whimpy as compared to me at the gym. I guess being in the GYM ... gets me in the mindset to MOVE and sweat!!!
However, if you know that YOU will use it. This looked good - plus you can never go wrong with a treadmill.
happy shopping.
hugs,
Britt
I am on the flip side of Britt and Wanda.... I paid for an 18 month gym membership and have gone about 4 times ( my membership is almost up too)!!! I have bought an eliptical machine, a stair stepper and a treadmill.... I sold all but the treadmill...
The eliptical machine was surprisingly hard on my knees as was the stepper, I love my treadmill, it does take up more room, but I do use it....
I guess if you can commit yourself to the gym or to your home equiptment then go for it.. Whatever works best for you... Best of luck to you with whatever you choose...
OH.. don't forget to check Ebay before you buy anything.... And Walmart.... Have fun!!!!!
Hugs,
