Isn't this weird?

I woke up before the surgery was done during both plastic surgeries! During this last one, I was just lying there listening to them talk. My paper gown was cut away and covering my face so they couldn't see my eyes open. I didn't want to speak because I thought the PS may jump and cut something he shouldn't! As soon as the surgery was done the surgeon left the room and the anesthesiologist lowered the gown off my face. She said "oh, you are already awake!" I didn't feel pain when I woke up but it was still a little freaky!
I think I need to stay out of surgery for while!

I wasn't really scared because I didn't feel any pain. They use some sort of anesthesia wash in the incision to numb it. I just woke up towards the end so it wasn't like I wasn't awake the whole time. I'm nosey and wanted to listen to them so I could get the "real" story. I remember the first surgery they were talking about how I was concerned about ending up with too large of implants and how I should be pleased because they were going to be perfect C's. This time I remember the doc saying that he was having difficulty with what he was doing. That wasn't exactly the same comforting feeling as the first conversation that I listened to!
I was surprised that they strapped me down during surgery. I guess that usually happens when we are asleep and we don't know it. There was a strap across my thighs and each arm was strapped down.
I'm just glad it's done and I hope that I don't have to do this again.
