When the surgeon said that I could return to work the day after my capsular contracture surgery, he must have been on drugs! OMG, I am in PAIN! I told the nurse that I planned on going to work the next day and she rolled her eyes and said there is no way that you will be up to that. She was right! I think this guy needs to have a lesson in reality. He always underestimates the time frames. He told me that I would only need 1 week off after TT/BL/BA. I needed a full two weeks and I have a very high pain tolerance.
I still feel so guilty taking so much time off work for this self-induced pain!

I've always felt guilty about if I had to take time off work. It's especially bad now that I am the boss. And believe me--EVERYBODY notices when I'm gone! It seems to affect everyones morale too. Luckily, I am extremely healthy and unless I'm having surgery I'm always there.

The nurse that attended the surgery just called and said that mine wasn't the worst case they have ever seen, but pretty close to it! She said they had to make a bigger incision than planned and removed some of the encapsulation and cut into the rest to get it to open up. She said that it was very thick. Leave it to me to be extreme! No wonder I'm having more pain than anticipated!

Thanks, Britt! I just hope that I'm back to normal by Christmas Eve. That's the night of my annual party. Lots of cleaning, cooking, and hosting in my immediate future. There just isn't much time for taking it easy.
