Hi everyone! I hope all of you had a great week - How is every one doing with preparing for the Holidays? I have to buy a few more gifts and some gift cards - then wrap everything up. I feel like I am ahead of the eight ball - but I cannot wait to FINISH. Hubby and I went away with friends this weekend to a beautiful resort (The Sagamore / Lake George) We had a lovely time ...a nice little weekend get-away. Aunt Flo finally came for a visit! Yippee - I feel so much better! Here we go here are my stats ... Starting weight 250.5 Last week = 140 This week = 140 Loss this week = 0 Total loss = 110.5 Current BMI = 22.6 Be Determined! You can do this - keep your eye on the prize! Quote The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart. Wishing you happiness. -- Helen Keller Holiday Hugs, Britt

I haven't weighed in, in a while... so here goes.... Starting weight = 309 Last time I weighed in = 178 This week = 187 Total GAIN = +9 pounds OMG!!!!! Total Loss = 122 I can't deal with that much of a gain.. I mean the scale always used to up or down by a few pounds when I was dealing with that time of the month or I ate the wrong things one day, but OMG.... I don't know how I can get back on track either because we don't have the money for groceries or anything for that fact... No presents here no nothing.... We are eating what we have in the pantry and what we get from food banks and charities... It is hard to get high protein when you eat from those things.... Now I know why I got so fat in the first place.... When you don't have the money, you can't eat right.... OK.. enough of my rant... Sorry to be a pitty party, but I needed to get that off my chest.... Somehow someway I will try and get back on track... I HAVE TOO!!!! Thanks to everyone for being there..... HUGS, Shawn M.

But YOU STILL POSTED IT you are keeping it REAL Shawn - and ya know what that means? .... That YOU WILL get back on track some how - some way! Hang in there - I know times are though right now, I also know that you have faith - hang in there and know - I am praying for you and your family!!!! Hugs, Britt

Thank you Britt!!!! I am sure things will get better... Todd is looking for a new job and hopefully one of the resume's we sent out will bring some good news. He is only working like 30 - 32 hours a week and that is what is killing us, plus my ex is not paying his arrearage anymore... I Think he quit his job... So things will get better it is just a matter of time... Thanks again for your support.... HUGS, Shawn M.

Shawn, Part of your gain might be due to meds. Part of it is FLUID! I'll bet a good couple of days back to basics and that 9 pounds will disappear. Do you still have some good protein powder or whatever your favorite protein was? Do you eat cottage cheese? You can flavor it up many ways and it has 12 grams of protein per 1/2 cup. Add some unflavored protein powder and some fruit and Splenda and you have a very high protein meal. Please don't beat yourself up over than 9 pounds. You've been literally fighting for your life - that 9 pounds is very temporary and not what it seems. Be gentle with our Shawn! CeCe

Good morning everyone. I have to say that I did much better last week. I stuck to my plan Sun thru Thursday at least. The scale rewarded me but not as much as I had hoped for. Just goes to show that slacking off a couple of days can ruin a weeks progress. Starting weight = 348 and BMI 60 Weight on Day of Surgery = 332.5 Last weigh in = 217.6 This week = 214.6 Loss this week = 3 lbs Total loss = 133.4 lbs Since surgery 117.9 lbs I still haven't gotten back to the gym. It looks like it is hopeless till after Christmas. Yard work seems to be the only workout I can manage. Time, time, oh precious little time! Hope everyone has a losing or maintaining week. Shawn, sounds like you are having a really rough go of it lately. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs to all, Valorie

Dont know if what I have lost this week is due to my gallbladder surgery and not feel like eating or what, but I will take it, I am managing to get in more protein and more food than I was a week ago. weight before WLS 260 day of WLS 255 Last week 140 This week 137 Loss -3 Total since WLS 118 Total from before 123 I think that I am about done, I was happy at 140 but we will have to see where our Lord brings me, as long as we are healthy and doing fine, that is just fine with me. Shawn, I will keep you in my prayers, because prayer does work!! May you have a very Merry Christmas and holidays, and remember "Look To The Stars" and keep on praying. Blessing Chrisy
