Hi All
I hope that you all had a BLESSED Thanksgiving with your loved ones. I had a great day with my family . I ran the Turkey Trot 5k Thanksgiving morning we had beautiful weather. I felt so BLESSED to be "able" to run! It still amazes me.
I ventured out on BLACK FRIDAY, it was fun - I got a few gifts that I needed, I happy to say... I am almost done. I love being done early. I only have 1 more gift and a few gift cards to purchase ... now its time to WRAP everything. Fa la la la la - la la la- laaaaaaaaaaaaa
Seems as I am out shopping I keep finding little gifts for "me" ... I tell Paul, Oh I just know I am going to love the things ~~ you ~~ bought me.

Hello all, hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, My wife had off Thursday and Friday, and the weekend so we had a great time together. I did eat more food than I usually do especially on Thanksgiving (which I paid the price for by making me sick to almost the point of dumping), and not going to the gym, I thought I would sure gain this week but I still managed to drop 2 pounds. Hope everyone has a great week. Alan

Hello, November Buddies,
I'm very happy to feel well enough to post today! Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and long weekend. I thought I had totally turned a corner on Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving. I showered, sat outside in the beautiful weather and even drove myself to a movie! We shopped later. Thursday we went to friends and I felt "tight" in the middle but thought it was sitting in the TIGHT binder and eating! Friday was ROUGH. So much pressure in my back right above my waist. My husband called the doctor but based on our reports, he didn't think it warranted the ER. Then, I had a fever running about 100.5 or 100.9 and since I never have fever, that got my attention. At least I wasn't freezing anymore! I'm now on antibiotics, went to the doctor today and will see him again on Thursday. One of my drains is draining something a little "off color!" So, all in all, this PS has KICKED MY BUTT! I couldn't imagine now working out for this long but, other than some LIGHT weights and some walking, it's now been 2 weeks. Two weeks ago today I was under the knife for 6 hours the first time and for 1 1/2 hours in the emergency surgery. Just think of how many little vessels they have to tie off! I guess one broke loose or wasn't seen and that's what was bleeding. I was so dopey, I didn't even realize anything was wrong and since it was a shift change, the nurses only caught it when my doctor called and was talking to one when she was with me. My blood pressure was 82/40 and I had no urine output. My doctor was there in 10 or 15 minutes and I'd already heard from the nurse's end of the conversation that he was unhappy! My doctor and a female anesthesiologist wheeled me from my room to the ER. I remember the door to the operating room being shut and the anesthesiologist said "we need to call them to get in." At that same moment, my doctor reached over and hit some emergency switch or something and the double doors opened and the anesthesiologist said: "Or not!" She and my doctor actually helped me onto the operating table before anyone ever came in there! By the way, my doctor wanted to call my husband but I told him to let him sleep! Luckily, every thing came out all right and my doctor was right by my side when I woke up and was there at 6:30 the next morning. He caught a terrible cold!
At any rate, come hell or high water, I was determined to post my weight today! I still have swelling but here's my WONDERFUL report!!!

Wow CeCe, 135 lbs congrats!!!!! I am so happy things have worked out and you are recovering. I think I am actually in your neck of the woods today. I am in Newport News, flew in yesterday for work and I am flying out today (headed back home). I didn't realize it or I would have tried to PM you to see if we could meet in person.

Hello! I had a great Thanksgiving! Very nice time at my sisters. I enjoyed a little taste of everything I wanted. Followed the 3 bite rule and it served me well. I didn't feel sick or even uncomfortable. About an hour after eating everyone was ready for desert but I said no way I have to wait a little longer! lol
