Join us - Weekly Weigh in 10/29
Ok, here's my info for the week - no change!!! I keep trudging on but it's hard to stay so motivated when the scale pretty much stays exactly the same! I'm really enjoying my exercise with my back hurting less. Today I did a Power Pump class then walked high incline and ran on the treadmill. Yesterday I did strength training in the class I teach and then went for an hour with my pilates instructor. Eating has been good but we ended up going out to eat late last evening and my husband wanted fajitas. I ate 1 with chicken and was VERY stuffed but I also had a few chips with salsa (first time since surgery) and didn't feel well the rest of the evening. I didn't have a Margarita even though I sure wanted one! We had just bought a new car and I could have used a drink!!!

Hi CeCe,
Congrats on the new car! Yes, THe payment could make you want to have a ****tail
When the scale doesn't move and you KNOW that you are following the rules. It is HARD - try to mak ea change that will give your BODY a little "wake up call"
are you getting excited about your PS ?? ... the scale will certainly move after that!
hugs,
Britt
Britt,
As you said, you gotta change that exercise routine to confuse the body and make it work harder and that's what I've been doing lately to try and make the scale move again. I teach strength training 3 times a week and always use the heavier weights but I've even kicked that up a notch and I've increased the pace of the class. I've been telling them they are in Boot Camp!!! I also do weight training on my own but the past few weeks I've been doing Body Pump classes at least one day a week. They are very similar to what I teach but since I'm not leading the class, I can work extra hard plus those classes are pretty fast too. And, instead of Spinning so much, I've been getting on that darned stair climbing machine that is like an escalator. That really gets my heart rate high (partly because I'm scared I'll fall off of it! I feel so high in the air and I'm climbing so fast I'm afraid my feet will slip!) I'm also hitting the rowing machine more often and doing different and harder routines on the Elliptical and Treadmill. Something's got to work!!! Of course, my calories also count and I'm pledging to wait longer between my meals/snacks because I tend to be a grazer and eat little bits at a time but often. That adds up too fast so I'm trying to do like you, Britt, and stick to meals but I still gotta have a snack!!! I'm loving the new car with the heated seats and the Sirius satellite radio too! I haven't even been playing my iPod in it much!! I'm loving life and getting more and more excited about the PS but not the recovery!! I can't even believe that Wanda has already posted today - just 24 hours after PS!!! Don't expect to hear from me that soon!!!!

This is my first child and it is due 4/15/08!!! I am sooooooo excited but I really would like to get down to less than 200 pounds. If I do not make it to goal, I will not be disappointed, since I have a huge bump in the road, but under 200 would be really great. I could see myself happy at a final weight of 175-180 instead of the 140. I go to the surgeon on Nov. 5th, so I will wait and see what he says for now. I have lost 14 pounds since I found out on Aug. 23rd that I was pregnant at the physician's office. I weighed in at 258, then lost 3 pounds by the following Thursday. I have been trying to go in at least once a week and see how I am doing. I am going to have to start recording the gains to though, just so that I have a record of what is going on.
I am a bridesmaid in a wedding 2 months after the due date, so that is going to be interesting. We were able to pick which dress we wanted. I am hoping that the one I chose will work for after baby. I had to order a few sizes bigger than what I am now so that I have room to grow. I just see myself continuing to lose, as long as the baby is growing the way it is supposed to.
I have an ultrasound on Nov. 12th, so I will know more about the baby's growth. The OB wants to do ultrasounds every 4-6 weeks to make sure it is growing OK, if I am still losing and all that. I don't know what she will do if it is now growing. The only thing I can think of is being admitted to the hospital, but I don't know. I will keep my fingers crossed that it is going OK.
