Go Wanda! And what was it your surgeon told you about not making your goal weight? I hate to say I told you so, but looks like I am going to have to say it soon. Great work! And that DH of yours is a keeper! Valorie

We will see! The good thing is Valorie, is that I have given myself permission to hold at 140. No more stress! No more "I have to lose weight" mentality. It was rather freeing! I thought the TT/BL would get me to my original goal of 134 since the doc said it would take off up to 4 pounds. But now, I've added in the BA it will probably be a wash!

Hi everyone. Welcome back Britt we missed you. It isn't a weigh in week for me but you all are doing great. I saw my surgeon a couple of weeks ago and he is talking about the adomnoplasty soon. Only wants me to loose 10 more pounds before it. I have done the insurance stuff and we will see. If I get to pay for it I'll have to wait and save a while. The surgeon who did my bypass does a TT that goes all the way around your body at about the hips and up to remove the original scare I have from the open RNY. To be honest I'm not to vain about it - I mean I did walk around weighing 350 pounds. It would be nice to be rid of the skin though because I know it is effecting my clothing. That said - I got a 14 on yesterday. I couldn't wear it in public but it was on. This has always been kinda my dream size so that was a great thing.

Wow Trudy, A size 14! WTG! I can totally appreciate this being a "dream size" It is the first size that really isn't a plus or womens. I too could be happy with a size 14. I am still in a 16- not looking close to dropping anytime soon. How great is it that your original surgeon also does a TT?!! I wish mine did. I wouldn't have to go in search and place my trust in someone unknown. Hugs, Valorie

Hey Valorie - I am thrilled that my original surgeon does it. He is not a plastic surgeon and I have heard that his aren't as "pretty" as some others but to be honest I trust him totally and I'm not going to be running around in a bikini - I want my clothes to fit right and I want to get rid of the slapping sound when I exercise and I don't want to fight a rash all the time. 16s are what I am wearing now and I really don't see me in a 14 in public any time soon. My sister had given me some hand-me-down clothes that was the only reason I had one and the only reason I tried it on. In the same batch was a pair of 16 Levis that I couldn't wear so... I have always said that I would be happy at a 14 and I still think that is true - but boy wouldn't a 12 be nice.

Welcome back Britt!!! Glad to hear you had a good time.... Here are my stats: Starting weight = 309 Last weeks weight = 179 This weeks weight = 178 Loss for the week = 1 Total Loss = 131 It was overall a good week for me. Work is getting me tired and we now have the wedding shower behind us. I have been missing taking some of my vitamins here and there, so I hope that is not why I am so tired and that it is just how busy I am and how much I am working. I am sure I will get used to it eventually. It is just so hard to work an eight hour shift and only get to stop once to get some lunch. I am used to eating something ever 2 - 3 hours, to go 4 or 5 hours is rough and my tummy really starts hurting. I may need to talk to my boss about letting me get a cracker or two part way into my shift. I don't know how much longer I can do this.... Shawn M.
