Hey Donna,
What do you track your totals with? This doesn't look like it came from fitday. I like the way it looks.
Also, I read your post about why you stayed away from us so long. I am glad you have re-joined us. I can understand the feelings you had though. I was that way in the begining. I always thought I was lagging behind everyone. I also thought that because I had more weight to lose, that I should lose quicker than most. NOT TRUE on either account. It was my negative brain finding a way to self sabotage. It was telling me again that I was not going to succeed. Now I am glad to join in and I miss the board if there are days when I don't get to participate. I am sure some of you guys wished that I would participate a little less, some may say a lot less. Anyway, stick with us and let us know if you are having any self-doubts. We love to encourage folks! We want to share in your joys and help with any difficult times. In short, we are here for each other. A virtual family. And we don't want to lose any family members, ever!
Hugs,
Valorie
I do use FitDay, but now I only copy and paste the daily totals. It was too much of a paint to post it for each item I was eating.
Please know it was nothing personal against anyone here, I just had a problem maintaining that I was okay with losing slower than everyone else. It was just hard for me to keep it in perspective and not wonder, "What the hell is wrong with me?"
You did hit the nail on the head though. Pre-op I lost 105 lbs. I sat at that weight for 2 years -- even trained and completed a triathlon and bounced around the same 10 lbs. I really feared that the same thing would happen post-op. I just expected failure.
In the long run, I know that I've lost a ton of inches, and in some cases more than my friends who have lost more than 100+ lbs. I know that my cardiovasular heath is freakin' awesome and I know I don't have that post-op "deflated" look because I've lost very little muscle mass and maintained rigorous workout schedule. I do all these things right, but still when that number doesn't reflect the effort, you start to feel like a farse.
I always come back to check on you all. I lurk and watch your proress from time-to-time. I'm proud of each and everyone of you here, not only because of your individual accomplishments, but also because of how you all support one another.
*hugs*
Donna
