Does anyone have trouble with milk? Since surgery I have tried to eat cereal twice. Both times I get sick with diarrhea and my stomach making all kinds of noises. So I figure it must be the milk. Any of you have this problem? Pattie
I became lactose intolerant. I take 4 lactaid tablets before I drink milk. That helps. Otherwise I get a really upset stomach and end up in the bathroom. I seem to be getting a bit better as time goes on. I don't have to take the lactaid anymore when I eat cheese, for example.
I don't have a problem with milk and I drink it all the time to up my protien levels. But I have a friend who had surgery who absolutely can't tolerate it anymore but was fine before surgery. Probably the sugar (which is what lactose is).
