Body Fat percentage

Because my doc told me that I won't lose any more weight, I decided to check it out for myself. I had my body fat percentage assessed. I'm at 28% body fat which means that I can lose between 4-11 pounds of fat to be within my ideal range. So I guess I can still lose!

Yes, Wanda, you can still lose! For far too long we've listened to messages from ourselves and others that we won't succeed! Didn't one of Britt's affirmations mention the power of attitude? We have to BELIEVE and VISUALIZE the reality and act on that belief by setting goals and following a plan. You do cardio (with a heart rate monitor) and you strength train. Is your hubby still out of town? How's it going dealing with eating alone? Are you doing better planning meals? My goodness, your goal is VERY close to attaining! YOU ARE GOING TO DO IT! I BELIEVE IN YOU, BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Should we start some sort of daily thread about our Meal Plan for the day? If we can write down what we PLAN to eat, we can get an idea of the calories and decide how we can cope if there's a luncheon or dinner for the following day. I know we wouldn't all be able to post a plan every day but would this help? I think posting a PLAN rather than having to list what we have eaten is more positive. We would dwell on the "bad" if we post afterwards but setting forth plans and goals will help us focus on the positives. What do you think? CeCe

Thank you for being such an encourager! I need that sometimes! I may even print this out and post it some where to refer back to. Yes, Randy is still out of town but I am doing so much better planning regular meals. I've been exercising good too. I haven't lost any weight but I haven't bounced up higher either! I know October will be a better month for me than September was. After the doctors statement I wondered if continued dieting might make me lose lean muscle mass. Now I know that I still have a few fat pounds to lose. I like facts! Also, now that I know that all I have to lose is 4-11 pounds, I feel more comfortable in having my plastic surgery. I like your idea with posting the meal plan. It will make us think through the day. That way we won't fail to plan or plan to fail!

I think posting a plan would be great. Let's say in the evening post a plan for the next day's meals and exercise. I am in! We can even go back the next evening and reply how we accomplished our goal for the day if we wanted to. I think this is a positive way to do it. Instead of logging on fitday about what we did today, write out a plan of how we will succeed tomorrow. Great idea CeCe! Thanks, Valorie
