I'm back from CA.

Well, my vacation is over. Doesn't it seem like time flies when you are away and out of your norm? I would swear that was the shortest week in history. No way it was actually 7 whole days! We had a very nice trip. Visited my DH's mother, sister and brother. They are great people. My youngest went with us (of course) and he was great. We were very worried about his behavior on the planes but he was a trooper. I think he provided the in-flight entertainment for those close to us. The weather was fabulous! Low 70's every day and 60's at night. Monterey is beautiful year round from what I hear. I did a lot of walking around. Plenty of exercise. I tried to make good food choices too. I bought some slim fast low carb ready to drink and had 1 each day to make sure my protein intake was sufficient. I guess the scale will tell the tale tomorrow morning. I have been afraid to hop on today but will face the beast tomorrow. Hope everyone had a great week. Hugs, Valorie

I hear ya'! Vacations go by soooo quick! I got up this morning and almost forgot I had to go to work. I could get used to this! I'm trying to practice on-the-job vacation today but, nobody will let me.

Thanks guys. Wanda, you know I tried telling everyone that I was still on vacation but it didn't work for me either! Imagine the nerve of those people expecting us to work after a week off. My mother in law was speechless when she saw me. I think she staired at me for the first 3 days before she believed it was really me. She just keep saying how great I looked. My brother and sister in law were amazed too. They said the my DH had told them I had lost over 100 lbs but it didn't sink in till they saw me with their own eyes. Actually all of that attention and praise made me feel quite uncomfortable. I know it goes back to my self image. I still need to do some work on that for myself. Of course knowing that I still need to lose 80 more lbs tells me I have a lot farther to go on this journey. Hopefully I can get the mental picture to resemble the outer shell before I get to goal. I am definately going to have to work on it. Thanks again, Valorie

Welcome back. I just took yestersay off and I'm having a terrible time getting back into work mode. We have been so busy and things are calming down a little bit so I am too. Deb
