Well, my nephew didn't recognize me at first. I walked right up to him and he didn't know me!! He just said "damn, you're small!!" It felt great. I hadn't seen him since last year before surgery, and I never sent any pictures, so he didn't know what to expect. He couldn't believe that I was smaller than him.
My aunt and uncle had seen a five month photo so they knew I had changed, but the response was great as well.
Congrats to everyone who is doing so well! I've never posted my stats, I guess I just never got around to it although I am keeping up with my profile page. Here goes:
Starting weight week before surgery = 223
Weight on Surgery Day = 217
Last week = 131.2
This week = 130.4
Loss this week = .8
Total loss = 93.2
Current BMI = 23.4
When I look in the mirror I can't believe it's me! I am wearing size 6's and 8's and small tops! Major wow moments have occurred lately. This weekend is my 35th HS reunion, I think I'm thinner now than in HS!
Trying not to lose anymore, want to maintain..have been eating more often and lots of carbs...exercising about 5x a week at the gym!
Congratulations Britt on running your relay race and your amazing weight loss this week!
I haven't been on the boards much lately... kind of going through some rough times at home. I have been trying to stay on track. I haven't posted anything for a couple weeks, but here are my most recent stats:
Starting weight: 250
Last week: 139.8
This week: 138.2
Weight loss this week: 1.6
Total weight lost: 111.8
Starting BMI: 41.6
Current BMI: 23.1
I also went and got my bodyfat tested using the underwater method (hydrostatic weighing - the gold standard for accurately measuring bodyfat). I came in at 20.11% so I am really happy with that.
