WTG guys! Thanks to everyone who accepted last weeks challenge. We, as a team, lost a whopping 22.55 pounds last week! Much better results than the previous week's 12 pound loss. The Nada-Zip club is officially closed! So, tell us what you did last week to make yourself a loser? And, what is one thing that you could still improve upon? I was a loser last week because..... 1) I drank at least 128 oz of water each day. 2) I counted calories and kept under 1000 each day. 3) I went to Curves 5 days last week. 4) I kept a positive attitude. 5) I watched my sodium intake. The one thing I could improve upon is... Protein intake. I must consume at least one protein shake/bar per day in order to get my daily requirement. I have gotten slack about getting enough and my energy level has dramatically decreased as a result. So, what can you tell us? Can you challenge yourself again this week? I challenge myself to increase my protein daily! Hugs, Valorie

I was a loser last week because: 1) I drank more water every day and limited my unsweetened tea habit 2) I exercised 4 days last week instead of 3 and upped my intensity during each workout 3) Focused on eating more protein and iron-rich foods during the day and almost completely eliminated bad carbs 4) Tried to stay more active and more conscious of what I was eating 5) Logged my food and exercise into FitDay. Thanks, Valorie, for challenging me! I am going to continue on with the challenge and make it a part of my life. It is so easy for carbs to sneak into my food choices! Susan

Corinna and Susan, Thanks for accepting the challenge! As you both said, it is easy to let the carb monster in when we are not focused. I think we should challenge ourselves every day to do the right thing for our body and our piece of mind. Hey, if the scale goes down in the process, so much the better! Hugs, Valorie

Well, I took the challenge... followed my guidelines but I did not lose... However Aunt Flo found me on Sunday, so I probably would have lost had it not been for the bloating and water gain from that... I stepped up my exercise to 6 days a week instead of 4 and I stayed away from the nachos and cheese... LOL... (that is my biggest downfall).. I also stayed away from too much late night munching... now I need to cut out that bedtime martini... LOL... I will be very active this week so I am really hoping to see a drop for next week... although I will be out of town for 5 days and on the road so hopefully I don't gain... Thanks for the challenge... even though I didn't lose I still followed what I wanted to do and I succeeded in that.... Shawn M.

Shawn, Have fun on your trip! Thanks for taking the challenge. It does't make a difference if you lost weight last week. The fact that you followed the rules and challenged yourself to do the right thing is what counts. Next week Flo will be gone and the scale will reward you for your efforts. Hugs, Valorie

Darn it! I need to learn how to participate in the weekly challenge the right way! I wanted to stop in because you all helped me when I posted on the 13th that the scale was STUCK! I went from 232 to 224 (Weighed this morning!). I did this by adding treadmill time and the rest was just following the usual rules. I guess my body just got moving again!! I will now go and read and see if I can figure out how to participate! LOL! hugs, Therese

Being's that I belonged to the Nada-zip club last week, this week I lost "3" big ones! 1. upped my water to 112 oz 2. upped my protein to 110 oz 3. got on the ole tread mill 3 miles a day 4. walked faster up the hill at work 5. rode my bike a little further each day of the week. I am going to challege myself some more this week so that I can get closer to my goal. Dr goal I need 2 more pounds to go, my goal I need 10 more pounds to go, I will take either way. Blessings Chrisy
