Hi Everyone,
Good Job for everyone so far. That's great!!
As for me
Starting weight 349
Last week = 213
This week =210
Loss this week = 2.0
Total loss = 139
My straws(multiple) were increasing knee pain, I have no cartiledge left in my knees and it was very painful to walk. My job is nothing but walking and I was faced with not being able to work any more. I'd come home in extreme pain and not be able to do anything. If I went shopping, I'd have to sit down every fifteen minutes. Vacations were a joke, because I went and sat all the time. I finally realized that I was becoming what my mother became at the end of her life. She passed away in 2000 from complications from obesity at age 68 and the last year and a half, she wouldn't go out of the house because of walking and breathing problems. Granted she was 68, but she could have had many years left, and here I was at 42 and becoming just like that. And then I had to give up bowling, which was the only thing I did, other than work and stay home.
Now, I have no problems walking or bowling, so all is good!!
Have a great week,
Phyllis
Hello to all you loosers!! LOL
The straw--just like everyone else pain knee low back, couldn't run with my kids, the mirror and the scale. Stats for this week can't say that I am a looser this week like all of you are maybe next week. Friday was bad my chiropractor told me I needed to cut Curves down to 3 days a week and cut my hand weights out for a while. Instead of low back pain it is now in my middle back/r shuolder.
so here goes nothing .50 lb gain. Will see the doctor and nutritionist in 2 weeks to see what is going on. Good luck to you all this next week.
Stats for this week:
Starting wt 256.5
Last week 185.5

Britt and November Buddies,
Congrats everyone on losing, not gaining or barely gaining (retaining fluid, I'm sure). Britt, again I offer my congratulations for reaching the Century Mark and continuing on! Love your quotes too!
LAST STRAW: Ten years ago I thought I had hit my personal rock bottom and I was converted by Bob Green and Oprah. I got the "connection" and changed my life totally. It was like night and day. The first year I lost 50, the second 40 pounds and by then I was a total gym rat. I lost a little over 30 more pounds very slowly because I was allowing my connection to get a little frayed! Portion control, resisting sugar and starchy carbs (especially certain times of the month) became harder. I also had overuse injuries and physical therapy because of my exercise addiction. By that time, I was a kickboxing, aerobics, strength and Spinning instructor and a personal trainer (who was still so self-conscious about her body that I never did that one on one on a formal basis). After a series of events, I started regaining. We ate out more, I ate bigger portions, sugar and starch addictions were indulged in more often. I regained 60 pounds. I was still teaching but feeling worse and worse about myself and so self-conscious and feeling so hopeless about losing the weight again and KEEPING IT OFF. WLS offered me a way to avoid sugar (still haven't eaten anything with real sugar other than the limited grams in some protein bars, yogurt, etc) and control portions. Thankfully, breads (another downfall) don't go down well, as are rice, noodles, etc. so I've given up bagels and other things that were trigger foods. These recent months we've all discovered that appetite returns and we can eat more so this isn't "magic" as I'd hoped but it's a miracle to me!
