Weekly Weigh In week of 8/20
Heather, congrats on the 2 pound loss and a special congratulations for being able to carry that extra heavy gear and even having energy left over!!! WHEW! Were you an EMT before surgery? If so, I'll bet the difference before and after WLS is amazing in your endurance and ease of movement! Can you imagine trying to carry that gear and climb stairs before WLS?! You deserve the compliments of the other crew members!!! I'll bet you were outdoing the guys as well!
I have been an emt since 1999. I was about 10lb heavier then I am now at that point, I met my hubby at the Fire house, we got married, had a son, and I gained 120 lb!!! It is so much easier to move around in the gear plus lifting the equipment. I was up and down on my knees the whole day. I can totally see a difference. When I was bigger I didnt take as many calls. Because I didnt have the energy, plus my ankles were weak and I twisted them every few months. Which would put me out of commisssion for a while. So today starts a new journey for me in the Fire HOuse. I am starting Fire school tonight to be a volunteer Firefighter too!!

You can add me to role call in the nada-zip club that we have going on this week!
One thing that I've noticed is that if I'm truly in a big eating cycle some external event has to break it. For instance...I leave the house...company comes over...I go for a walk...whatever it takes to break the chain of events. If I stay home by myself without breaking it I will end up eating all darn day!
Good Monday everyone,
I don't really have a plan in place to banish the munchies when they come around. I HAVE to get something started that will help. I like Wanda's idea of the nutritional information but I know me...I will reason with myself that I will only have ½ a serving so it "won't be too bad." I try to divert my attention to something besides food but it seems that I reason with myself a lot these days and still eat badly. Britt's idea of the pictures may be a better option. I just don't know if that is enough to keep my head out of the fridge or hand out of the cabinet.
Well guys in the words of Wanda last week just take my previous stats and stutter.
Starting weight = 348 and BMI 60
Weight on Day of Surgery = 332.5
Last week = 235.0
This week = 235.0
Loss this week = 0 lbs
Total loss = 113 lbs
Since surgery 97.5 lbs
2 weeks no weight loss. I know it is technically not a stall but it is still frustrating. Also, we are going to CA to visit my husband's family September 1st and I really wanted to hit the 100 lb mark before we left. Oh well almost 2 weeks left to make that mini goal happen.
Have a great week everyone.
Valorie
