The verdict is In !!
OK so I went to the dr's this am..was nerve racking at first because I guess all my referrals were done with so they wanted me to pay for my visit up front..Ekkk..I was like why wasn't I informed and all I got was we don't check till the day of your appointment..DUH..lol.
Anyways..I didn't have to pay because I got my pcm to put the referral in before my appointment time..(by calling her)so I was all set.
SOOOOOOOOOOo on to the news..
I weighed in at 168
talk about great news..not only did the scale finally move agian for me but I also hit the 100 pd mark..So I was double excited..
102 pounds gone..wohooooo
She sent me for the blood work and also is having my thyroid checked too.
I told her I'm not hitting the 1000 calories and gave her a run down of my day with food and water..SO she told me to do 3 shakes a day and add 1 tablespoon of peanut butter to it..OMG if you have not tried this I would suggest it..YUMMY..I came home and did one up because I left so early this am and never got mine in..It was like drinking a melted snickers ice cream bar...NO PROTEIN taste at all .
Naomi,
WOW! You've lost 102 pounds in 9 months!!! What a milestone! What do you plan to do for yourself to mark reaching the 100 mark? How much more do you want to lose? What is your BMI now? Had you lost much more than you thought you had since you had not been on the scale in a while. I would love not to be so addicted to the scale but I'm afraid I would have my expectations too high for each weigh-in and be disappointed!!! I admire you for not having to get on the scale constantly! I would have to do more than have my husband lock the scale in the trunk! I would sneak his keys out at midnight and go weigh!!!
I too would like to know the kind of protein you use. When I was getting SO SICK of the protein powder following surgery I was also putting a little peanut butter in my shakes to make them taste a little better. Some people at my WLS support group were also saying that mixing in just a little pistachio pudding Jello no sugar mix to vanilla protein powder was also good. I tried that but I think it was back when nothing really tasted good. I would probably like it now!
Well to treat myself I went out tonight and bought me a new outfit to take on my trip.
For my own goal I have about 43 more pds to go but that can change.
my BMI is 29..I am now just over weight
Oh I lost 12 pds from when I made that deal to not get on the scale..A little over 3 weeks.
Total for the 6 till 9 month check up was 22 pds.
LOL I thought I was going to sneak in his car as well or even try to step on one in the store..but I didn't have any expectations because I was on that stall..So I guess maybe thats why it was easier for me.
I have had alot of issues with protein as well and the only one's I have been able to tolerate is gnc-strawberry,banana cream..and now Im useing one from walmart in vanilla which isn't to bad.I also make a Ice coffee protein with the vanilla..
