Weekly Weigh In week * 7/30
Thanks for asking. I'm feeling pretty well. I think I would not have lost 2 lbs. had it not been for the kayaking yesterday. We went for three miles and the back of my arms and on my back is a bit sore from using muscles I didn't know I had, LOL!
My BMI is 18.7. Underweight is 18.5 and under. So I'm still "technically" not underweight. It's a scary place to be though. But I seem to be managing to keep it in the 109-111 range. If I can do that for a month, I think I will feel not so scared about going too low.
I do notice I poop out upon exertion though. I was conked out last night at 9:15.
I will have to share some pics. The group we went with kayaking took some pics they are going to e-mail me. I took some with our waterproof camera, but it was print film. I also just got my CDs of the wedding, so I need to put together an online album of them. They turned out SO good! I can't wait to share with everyone.
Everyone is doing so great. Shawn, congrats on the BMI. I totally understand about wearing clothing that is too large. I still wear a lot of my old 24's even though they are really baggy. I love shopping for new stuff but the pocket book says "stay out of the darn stores!" Besides the big stuff makes you feel small, doesn't it?
Britt, you are fabulous! Thank you for cheering us on. You are one focused Lady. I wish I had your determination. Do you have some to sell? I would pay good money if you could bottle and sell it. I think I speak for many of us on the November board. You could be rich! $$$$$$$$$
To our fellow losers, Christy, Deb, Sandy, Julie, Joy, Heather, Kim and Lianna, I salute you all. And Donna, keep the faith and fight the good fight. TOM may win a round, but we will win the fight.
I started out in a tight 26/3x- probably should have been a 30 0r 32 but they were so hard to find that I squeezed into the 26's and everything I bought was stretchy. I hadn't had a pair of jeans in at least 10 years. Now I have inherited more jeans than I can wear and they are 20's and fit with room to spare. I actually have some casual work pants that are 16 and fit perfectly. So I don't really know what size I am....somewhere between a 16 and 20 for pants (guess that would be an 18 ?? LOL) dresses and tops I can wear large or even some 12/14 depending on how the arms are cut. My darn bat wings are HORRIBLE.
Here are my weekly stats:
Starting weight = 348 and BMI 60
Weight on Day of Surgery = 332.5
Last week = 245.0
This week = 244.0
Loss this week = 1lb
Total loss = 104 lbs
Since surgery 88.5 lbs
My body is all screwed up. I guess I have been too healthy lately and my body decided to rebel. My period is out of whack. I started again on Friday after only being off for 1 week. This has NEVER happened to me before. Also, I have had a really bad UTI which has caused me to retain water even worse. I think the UTI was the main cause of my previous week's gain. I didn't even realize that I had one till I was doubled over in pain. Usually I know I am getting one before it gets out of control. Not this time! At least I shed 1 lb this week though and didn't have to post another gain. Now that the antibiotics have knocked out the UTI, hopefully I will get back on track.
Anyway, enough of my whining. I hope everyone has a great week. Keep up the good work, Lord knows, it is WORK!

Well I knew that with my new workout routine sooner or later I would gain some weight from the water in building muscle mass. The first 3 week I worked out I averaged 5-7 pound loss per week, but when I got on the scale this past Wednesday I was shocked to see I gained 10 pounds. I guess it is the price you pay at first when lifting weights but it is worth it in the long run. Today when I got on the scale I was back down 5 pounds. So for one of the few times since my surgery I have a 5 pound gain to report.
I started off with wearing 10x pants and 9x shirts I am now down to 5x pants and 3x shirts. It is so nice to be able to go to Kmart and get a shirt for $5.00 compared to having to send for clothing through a big size catalog and having to pay $30.00 + including shipping for just one shirt.
Hope everyone has a great week.

Let's see I started out in a size 24/26 pants. and a either a size 2x/3x top. I am now wearing size large tops (that are getting too big) and size 14 pants (also getting too big). I probably should be wearing med tops and size 12 pants but I told myself I can't buy anymore clothes till Sept. I will need a whole new fall/winter wardrobe!!
Ok so I seem to be on a roll now! Just hope it keeps up.
