Hello my fellow November buds ! (Hello to all of you lurkers too join in - say hello) Hope you all had a great week :0) Question of the week (if you feel comfortable answering it that is). What size did you start off in and what size do you wear now? for me ... Pants - I started of in a tight size 22 and now wear a size 6 !!!! Shirts I was 1x / 2x - now small or medium ... amazing! Here we go Here are my stats: Starting weight 250.5 Last week = 155 This week = 152.5 Loss this week = 2.5 Total loss = 98 Current BMI = 24.6 **** LOOK a normal BMI whoooo hoooo keep your eye on the prize!! ;fairy: have a geat week - you CAN do it!!! remember ~~~~ NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS THIN FEELS ~~~~ hugs, Britt

Good Morning Britt, Congrats on a 2.5 pound week and congrats again on the NORMAL BMI. You are awesome! Here go my stats for the week: Here go my stat's for the week: Starting weight = 273 Surgery Date Weight = 263 Last Week = 129.5 This Week = 128 Loss this week = 1.5 lbs Loss since surgery = 135 Total Loss = 145 BMI = 20.7 I am getting kind of scared now, I am just a few pounds from being underweight and the weight continues to come off. Actually, according to my surgeons scale and my fat free mass, I am underweight now even though my BMI does not show it. Never been underweight in my life.... Question of the week, Answer: I started off in a tight 22 pant and 2x-3x Shirts. Currently I am in a size 1 to 3 pant (depending on how they are made) and a small top. Hugs to all! Christy

Christy, I cannot believe that you are still losing!!!! I guess you'll have to increase your calories??? I wouldn't want to start toying with being UNDERWEIGHT - your goal was to be healthy. I understand your fear! Right now - I have 10 more pounds to lose. People (family - friends - people at the gym are) are all saying. I should lose anymore - that i'll look too thin. I think people think I weigh a lot less. I guess my lean muscle makes the # higher than everyone thinks. I could go as low as 117 (I could never - but the range in 154 - 117). I may change by goal to 145 I don't want to look unhealthy. I am happy now with how I feel and look. But I still want to be in the 140's and further away from being overweight. I see my surgeon ... I am going to talk to him about it. His goal is 154 for me. Can you believe that you have lost 145 pounds????????? 145 POUNDS GONE ... BUT NOT FORGOTTEN You are AMAZING! hUGS, BRITT

Britt, I e-mailed my surgeon about the weight loss and he responded saying not to worry about it, that someone my size will probably stop losing about month 9.... He also said that I am just experiencing something that many patients hope for. I responded by telling him that I am definitely not complaining. He also said that he frequently see's a rebound of 5 % of the weight (mostly water). His advice- Just continue to make the right choices in food and exercise. Christy

Hi Britt, Congratulations on your successess, keep up the good work. Well, this week was water retention week. Oh, I hate those weeks we have to face each month. My stats: Starting weight 320 Last week = 211.5 This week = 213 gain this week = 1.5 Total loss = 107 Current BMI = 40 Starting size was pants - 26 28 some 30's, shirts 26-30, suits/dresses 26-28. Currently wearing pants/skirts size 16, dresses/suits size 14-16, shirts XL

Donna, I have to agree with you water retention stinks!!!! Hang in there and drink LOTS of water the next few days!!! 107 POUNDS GONE ... BUT NOT FORGOTTEN Look at you in size 14/16 - way to go hugs, Britt

I started out in a size 22 pants and 3x or better shirt and now I can wear a size 10 pants and a medium shirt. Starting weight 298.5 Last week = 173.2 This week = 172.2 Loss this week = 1.0 Total loss = 126 Current BMI 31.49 I'm setting some goals for myself for the weeks to come. I am stepping up my exercise in addition to my 3 times a week aqua jogging I'm going to add some weight training. I'd like to reach my personal goal of 150 pound loss by my surgiversary. Good Monday Morning, everyone! This was a crazy week, I am captain of a Relay for Life team, and this was our weekend, so walked all night Saturday night, still feeling exhausted today, but it was well worth it! Here goes: Starting weight: 229 Surgery day: 225 Last week: 139.5 This week: 137.5 (2.5 below goal) Loss this week: 2 Total Loss: 91.5 Current BMI: 22 I started in a size 20 and a 2x top. I now wear 8's mostly, some 6's depending on style. And tops are S or M, depending on style. I don't like my stuff tight like the younger generation, so am pretty conservative...
