Join us - Weekly Weigh in 7/16
Hello to all of my November Buddies!
I had a hard time getting back on track ... but I pulled it together and was VERY STRICT. It paid off I am closer to reaching a 'normal BMI' and closer to goal which is extremely exciting
I think many of us are in the same boat. Fighting the Carb Monster and Head Hunger
TRYING HARD to stay on course and on occasion - veer off track a bit. It is certainly HARD and will take / has taken a lot of work to reach our goals and stay there. The important thing is that we seek support here and elsewhere to stay grounded.
This weekly weigh is a great form of support and accountability. This board has a great group of people who keep things "real" and I LOVE that!
Here we go
Here are my stats:
Starting weight 250.5
Last week = 163
This week = 155
Loss this week = 8
Total loss = 95.5
Current BMI = 25
So tell me, how did you do?
HAVE A great WEEK!
Keep your eye on the prize
YOU CAN DO IT!!!!
Hugs,
Britt

I know, can you beleive 8 pounds??? ... (but remember I gained last week) Still 8 pounds this far out is VERY exciting!!!!
Only 13 more pounds to goal and 1 more pound to a NORMAL BMI
If you are increseasing your workouts how is that going to stop your weight loss????
Are you increasing calories ????
here's to toning up at the gym!
have a great week!
LOOK at your BMI!!!! 21.1 you ROCK!!!!
Congrats on getting to your "ideal" weight!
you lost 142 pounds !!!!!!!!

Britt
Thanks Britt. 8 lbs loss is still amazing, you took off 4 lbs in addition to the 4 you gained. That's a winning situation.
At the advice of my surgeon, I have actually changed up and increased my workout routine to try and build muscle (lifting weights, ECT), my current weight is a little low for me at 5' 6", I am hoping to regain a little in muscle. To answer your question, I am increasing my calories but that is very difficult to do while still utilizing proper choices. I want to maintain my healthy lifestyle and food choices I am making.
HUGS
Christy
Christy you are so RIGHT it is a winning situation for sure
I see what you are saying now - trying to increase your lean muscle.
I've been doing cardio and weight training as of 6 weeks post op.
I also understand your feeling about increasing your caloric intake and NOT eating bad things ...that is DANGEROUS for us!!!
What about adding a protein drink (or 2)that you like - to increase your intake????
I have no doubt that you will figure out what works best for you!
have a great day,
Britt
Britt,
I started last week adding an additional protein drink, now I drink 40 oz of protein for an intake of 80 grams protein and 320 calories total. So far, so good on this. I think I need to actually eat more but with these supplements and 3 small meals, I can't handle much more. I'll figure it out, I dont have to worry for another 8-10 lbs.
Christy
Good morning everyone. First off, congrats Britt! 8 pounds is an awesome feat at any stage but after 8 months, it is almost unheard of. You were seriously working your tool last wee****ep up the good work and you will make goal very soon.
Now, on to me. I had an ok week. TOM showed up a week early on Saturday but I still managed a meager loss. Of course I will take any loss I can during hormone week.
Stats for the week:
Starting weight = 348 and BMI 60
Weight on Day of Surgery = 332.5
Last week = 242.0
This week = 241.0
Loss this week = 1 lb
Total loss = 107 lbs
Since surgery 91.5 lbs
Onward and Downward!
Have a great week.
