My first CT/scan

Well for the first time in my life, I was small enough to have a ct/scan done. Over the last 20 years or so anytime I have had a medical problem they never could do a ct scan because of my size, and never got a proper diagnosis. Well a few weeks ago I had some blood in my urine and some unusual pain in my pouch. The last month or so it seemed like I was able to eat a lot more than I had in the pass. Then last week it felt like my pouch did a 180 and just a bit or two of food would make me feel full and even kind of sick feeling. Then on Tuesday morning I woke up with the worst pain in the area of my pouch I have ever experienced, it hurt so bad even after managing to take some pain meds I couldn't even move for about an half an hour. I called my WLS office and he sent me in for the ct scan. I fit in the ct machine with no problem. One thing that impressed me was that I had to drink some stuff before the test and I was thinking I hope the stuff doesn't have sugar in it, when they brought it to me the nurse said since I had WLS they knew I couldn't have the drink with sugar so I had my choice of crystal light to mix in with it, but it still tasted gross. One good thing out of all this, not being able to eat as much as I had been I dropped 15 pounds this week. Yesterday I got a call from the doctors seems like I have an impacted kidney stone. The doctor is going to have me get some more x-rays before he decides on what to do next. I had the same problem back in 2004 then they had to go up inside me and zap it apart with a laser.

Yeah! Great wow moment to know that you can fit into the ct scan machine! It's like flying for the first time since losing weight and realizing you're not spilling over into the next seat. Congrats!

Well I'm glad you found out what was causing the pain, or likely causing it. Now let's just hope they come up with a reasonable plan to fix it and you will be back on your way. Congrats on fitting in the scanner. That must have felt good!
