Wanda told us about a website called kaysnaturals.com, they have cereal that has about 9 grams of protein which I love. You can order a variety pack of their cereal, pretzels and chips for $10. Deb

I love cereal, but it's really hard to find one we can eat in the normal supermarkets, which is why I got so excited when I first found Special K Protein Plus. It has 10 grams protein (milk not included), 2 grams sugar, 14 grams carbs (9 net carbs), 5 grams dietary fiber, 100 calories/3g fat per serving, and it tastes awesome. I sometimes add a few raisins and some sweet and low to it, but it's really hearty and keeps me full for hours. My husband and I buy mass quantities whenever it goes on sale, usually it's like $4 a box, but whenever they have special K brands on sale it's usually only $2.50 a box. I think it's cheaper and more convenient then most of the special health food stores or websites sell theirs for, and 10 grams protein in a bowl of cereal is the best I've found, at least the best that I've found and that is also edible . When you add the milk it's even better.

Try All Bran Extra Fiber. It has 20 grams of carbs (0 sugar carbs!) I sprinkle it over low carb yogurt. I think it's possible to dump if you combine cereal with regular milk--depending on the sugar content.

So true! The first time I tried Kashi Go Lean with milk, I Dumped big time. Now I sprinkle a bit on my yogurt, and no problem...aides digestion too. Never tried it with milk again...have no intentions of ever doing it either...LOL!

Linda, do you how many sugar carbs do you think you had before you dumped? My NUT says not to have more than 12 grams at any one time. I think I've probably had more than that before. Milk has around 12 grams per cup. I guess if we add cereal to that it could cause a problem. I want to find out someday that I am a dumper! I'm so afraid to test the limits because if I find out I'm not a dumper I will be hard to control!

Wanda, checking box now, do not recall, think I had no food before, I have found I can tolerate more carbs if something is on my stomach already...not such a good thing, but does not faze me, cause one time I had something on stomach and decided to test the waters, daughter had made pineapple up side down cake, a good sliver, and dumped anyway...have to keep sugars at 11, or under, but it smelled so good, I was sick as two dogs! Kashi Go Lean has 13 sugars...too much for me...a smidge in yogurt is my limit.

Congratulations for being such a dumper! I hope some day I discover I'm one too!

Well...errrr...thanks? I really do not try to push my limits. I see sometimes people post things like "I can eat a whole big mac and fries", to each his own, but I did not have my system re-routed to play games. I am grateful for wls, and I try to take care of myself. No one is allowed to bring cake into home anymore...LOL. At work, it does not faze me, and I work in pot luck city..LOL. Another thing I noticed is that I am no longer a choco-holic. My daughter bought me some "diet candies", eventually she and grands ate it all. Now your protein coconut chocolate powder sounds yummy, but not for me. The times I do want the flavor of chocolate, I will use real cocoa and add to shake, so far about 3 times. My tastes have changed, I still have to watch fats, they can sneak up, just like carbs or anything else. Moderation is the key and I can have a good balanced life. There is so much I can enjoy, and I try to keep focused on this being a life change, *not* a diet. You look good, and unflabby, I will always be flabby...LOL. C'est la vie. I bless the flab and keep on going.

I had a taste for cereal not too long ago & got the small boxes-with Rice Krispies & Rice Chex & cherrios. It was so good, didnt bother me & I had no problems eating a box with some skim milk. I only had those three boxes out of the pack-but it was good & got rid of the craving. I like the Kashi cereals-but be wary of the one that contains fiber twigs-these caused me to make may trips to the bathroom. Too much fiber I think.
