What are we doing this weekend?

What is everyone doing this weekend? I am going to a play this evening with my wonderful Hubby, David. I bought him tickets for Christmas to this play. Imagine, a man that loves to go to the theater and thinks play tickets for Christmas is better than getting a new power tool! Can I pick 'em of what? Have a great weekend everyone! Val

I am running a huge Garage Sale!!!! One day down and one more to go... for this weekend at least, then I have next week end and the one after that, and so on, until Memorial Day, then it will all be donated... I have so many of my "fat" clothes that are selling, I can't believe how good they are going. I made over $100 today... Wooo Hooo!!!! Let's hope I do that well tomorrow too. Shawn M.

Val and Shawn, I choose the play over the yard sale!! I've had a few of those and people started arriving before DAWN! What play did you see, Val? Isn't it great to have a husband who likes stuff like that? I'm so glad mine does and loves foreign movies too. Tomorrow we are going to the German movie that won Best Foreign Film at the Oscars this year. Today we did Yard Work! We built a field stone short wall around a big flower bed (surrounding a tree) added new dirt, plants and mulch and I broke up, planted flowers and shrubs and mulched 3 other beds. WHEW! We made 2 trips to Lowe's today after going yesterday and loading up as well. I didn't have to do extra exercise today. I lifted countless bags of mulch and garden soil plus did 500 squats doing all of that! CeCe

I'm having a jet-lag day! I spent all day getting back from Vegas on Saturday so today I'm just trying to get back to normal! It sure is good to be home though! Val, my husband and I love the theater too. We go to the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center whenever we can. We even enjoy the little local theater too. If you are ever in Tampa, look us up!

The play was great! We went to a small, local theater in Greensboro. It was a two person play called Syncopation. A period play about a couple who come together through ball room dancing. Very well written and performed. We thoroughly enjoyed it. CeCe, I understand about the yard work. I raked and raked and raked and raked some more on Sat and Sun. I even raked about 30 minutes this evening after work and the gym. (can you say TIRED?) I told my husband that I was going to pay someone to come in and cut every blasted tree on our property down. We have 1.5 acres and it is surrounded on all sides by "natural area" which translates into about a billion trees! I have never been interested in yard work before so I had no idea how much work it really was till this year. I also found out how SLACK my husband has been at attending to it! He would kill me if he knew I just said that! But, truthfully, it has been grossly neglected by both of us. I really can't believe how much I now enjoy working in the yard! It is one of my favorite things to do even if I do complain about it. Val
