I have been stuck at current weight for about 2 1/2 weeks! This is really frustrating. Has this happened to anyone else? Anyone know why this happens? weightnomore4debbie

I have not budged even a fraction of a pound for the past 2 weeks. From what I hear, this is very normal. I am going to try upping my protein and water, and get more excersize. Very Frustrating!!!

I'm the same way.. .I've been stuck for about 2 weeks.. it didn't help that I had my period PRIOR to this ... but I just can't seem to move forward.. it's so frustrating .. I'm to the point of tears sometimes.. it just seems as though no matter how hard I try.. it's NOT paying off... I've been 3 pounds from -70 for 3 weeks now...

Unfortunately it's a fact of life that we will hit plateau's in our weight loss. I hit one that last about two or three weeks and I just had to tell myself not to worry about it. As long as I was doing what I was supposed to it would be over soon enough. Try Kim's plateau buster a couple posts down. I think if we get in an eating rut our bodies get comfortable where they are and won't move for awhile to shaking things up seems to help. I upped my protien significantly and the next day I dropped 1 1/2 pounds. Just stick with the program. It will start up again!!! It has for everyone else I know and some of them were at a plateau for months before they dropped more weight. Good luck! Corinna Q

Thanks to all of you *****sponded to my plea. I really shouldn't complain. I have lost 80 pounds in 5 months. But, I guess I am too anxious. I will try increasing the protein and water and exercise. I'll let you know. weightnomore4debbie

I know what you are going through. I seem to stall quite often. My best advice is to try something new. If you have been slack on the protein...double it for a couple of days. If you know that you have been really good at getting your protein and avoiding carbs, then enduldge in some thing you really want for one day (like whole grain bread or pasta) then get back on the protein. Take a "cheat" day I guess you could call it. Which ever one you choose to try, drink all the water you can stand and by all means, stay off the scale for 4 or 5 days. If I mix things up when I am stalled for awhile it usually helps get me kick started again. It took me amost 5 months to figure out this works for me....Well, the last time it worked anyway. Good luck and hang in there. Valorie

Did all of you that were stuck get "unstuck"? I'm still maintaining at 162 and can't seem to get below that. What worked for you all?
