As of this morning, I made it into the 150's..... 159.75 but still the 150's... I only lost 1 pound last week and was getting very discouraged but somehow have managed to lose 5.5lbs this week. If I can keep this up, I will make my surgeons goal of 147 by 6 months post-op visit. Under 20lbs to my new goal of 140 and under 10lbs to my initial goal of 150.... I am in desparate need of toning tough, somehow I just can't get up the motivation but I am out of classes after this week and will have much more time. Any words of wisdom on getting excersice motivated would definately be welcome. Just wanted to share, I was too excited to keep to myself. HUGS to everyone! Christy

Christy, WOW!!! WOW! I'm so happy for you and green with envy too! That is FANTASTIC! I know that was exciting! Since you will be out of classes as of next week, set up exercise goals now and stick to them. Now, make the goals somewhat challenging but don't say you're going to exercise 3 hours a day or anything like that!!! Good luck and I can't wait to join you in the 150s but by the time I get there, you'll be at goal and settled there! CeCe

That's GREAT Christy! I remember getting into the 150's. It took me about a week to feel I was solidly there. By the time I was down to 157 for a couple days I was more convinced I was really there. I can totally relate to the whole exercise thing. I need toning very badly too but I still haven't been motivated to really do anything about it. And I should be motivated with my wedding coming up in a couple months. I'll be watching this thread for other motivation ideas. Congratulations on your milestone!

YEAH Christy! I am sooooo jealous! I can't even think of being at goal yet. I have so much more to lose. I started serious exercise at 4 weeks post op and have really stuck to it. I swear that you guys that didn't get into exercise seem to have lost weight faster! I wouldn't give it up though. I wish you luck at toning. I am saggin' and baggin' everywhere! I think I should be saving every penny for plastics. Lord knows I am gonna need the works if I ever want to look normal. Of course when you stretch your skin to almost 350 lbs on a very petite 5'4" frame, I guess you can't expect it to bounce back. Especially at age 40. I really wish I had done this at least 10 years ago! Maybe I would have had a chance for my skin to shrink back into shape. My advice on exercise is find something that you like to do. I go to Curves and I love it. You can do it at any fitness level. I also walk while I am at lunch or on a break at work. I just turn on my IPod and go. It de-stresses me too. Congrats again, Val

Wow Christy! you are doing soooooooo great!!!! As far as exercise goes - I feel you have to be in the right frame of mind to start and stick with it ...once you've made your mind up to incorperate exercise into your daily life, you will feel great - emotionally and physically!!! YOU LOOK GREAT! hugs, Britt
