Attention November Banders I have questions
Hi everyone! I had my band placed on November 7th and I am at a stand still, even after my last fill I have had episodes of PBing where I have to bring the food that is stuck up and I do this maybe once a week and only when I am rushed to chew and swallow. Maybe I am losing inches and not lbs since I kick box and do pilates and yoga and use a medicine ball to tone. I feel discouraged. I still have an apron and I dispise it. I want it off and I know that it is supposed to be slow and will be slow with the band but gosh darn it I work so hard, eat the right things, skip bread and eat only low carb pasta once a month. I went to Orlando for a week on vacation and I didn't lose any but I didn't gain any either. Have a great tan and bought a size 16 bathing suit. That was great but I look in the mirror side ways and ewwwww. I do 400 crunches and its still there.......I don't come here often to read posts anymore because the bypass patients are losing so much faster and it bums me out even though I am happy for them and understand their excitement. What else can I do to start losing again. I am thinking protein shakes and skip the "real food". I don't even make a side carbohydrate anymore. Any suggestions from banders will be so helpful and is it true that if you pb too often you could make the band slip? Jackie

I was glad to see your post
Hi Jackie, Have you trid to post on the lap band board?
what is PBing?
Sounds like you are doing great with your exercising! Have you measured yourself?
Have you tracked your food on www.fitday.com? Maybe that would show something??? How is your daily water intake?
Are you working out in your target heart range? I know that could help.
((((sending big hugs your way)))))
Hang in there,
Britt
I always thought I was on the Lap Band Board since I click Lap Band under forums and then select November 2006 Michigan. So I guess I was in the wrong forum for my questions. This site is really confusing sometimes. I guess maybe I am using wrong terminology as well. I basically throw up after eating something too fast and heard that the band can slip from doing this, I know it is because I am eating too fast and not chewing well so I have decided to get back to the basics this am and do pro shake for breakfast and lunch. Eat a sensible dinner. I drink the water and I take my vitamins, oh I excercise alot I am addicted to it. It is intense kick boxing, cardio, weight training and pilates and yoga. I walk all the time (when I shop WINK) laughing. Thanks for replying to me you have always been so sweet. I will let you know how I do with uping my protein (as I needed to). My band is full to brim and I just need to slow down and chew. Thanks again Brit. keep in touch. Jackie
I was banded November 6 th, so we are real close. I have only lost 32 lbs. The last two months have been extremely slow. I have added somethings in that do eat my calories. Creamer in my coffee, butter on my vegs. Just little things but I got to cut back to continue. Come see us on the lap band board. It has a lot of long timers but like most boards it has lots of seekers and newbies.
