how much have we lost?
5 months out as yesterday and I am down 61 lbs since surgery. I was a heavyweight so I still need to lose at least 130 lbs. I think the amount of weight I need to lose is the reason why I whine about how slow it is going. My surgeon did not set a "goal" weight for me but will consider me a success at 200 lbs (which at 5'4" would still be obese and unacceptable for me personally)
I feel great....I am active...and I find it funny but I haven't even had as much as a cold in 5 months! Anyone else find that they don't get sick like they use too? I use to catch anything and everything coming and going. My son could sneeze once and I would be sick for 2 weeks. THANK YOU LORD FOR ALL YOUR MANY BLESSINGS!

I have started out at 260 and I am down to 190 as of today, I am 5 months and one week out a total of 70 lbs. I get at a stall everytime I turn around. (my sweet husband tells me to "stop turning around") I get very upset when the scale says that I have not lost any, BUT I keep on moving on and am not going to let this get to me. The head hunger is trying to take over, I still pat my pouch and Bernie (name of pouch) say's that it is not hungry, so I just sip some water. I have lost about 58 inches all over. I will take it.

I had my surgery on 11.30.06. I've lost 91 pounds so far and hope to lose another 60-65. I started at 305 and am at 214. I can't wait to hit the "100 pounds lost" goal AND to finally weigh under 200 pounds! That hasn't happened in over 17 years! I'm short (5'0), so I will always have a higher BMI. I am exercising a TON and trying very hard to increase my water. I'm up to 50 oz. a day now. I struggle with remembering vitamins. I have more energy than I've had in such a long time!
GOod luck to everyone!

I am 5 months out, I have lost 101 pounds as of this morning. My husbands goal for me is 150, my doctor does not set goals. I had my surgery on 11/14/06. I went from a 22W pants to a size 14 and a 3X shirt to a petite L or M. I'm feeling really good and having no problems. When I went in for a check-up on Friday my nurse said I would really notice my weight loss slowing down, I am not ready for that yet. I'd like to pump up my exercise a little so I keep on loosing.
Great job everyone.

I was 5 months out yesterday. My official weight loss to date is 69 lbs. I was hoping for that extra pound to make and even 70, but not yet.
I took my measurements and have lost so many inches in just the past 3 months, even. I started at a size 18W and now wear a comfortable size 8.
I have 8 more pounds to my goal of 125. I need to start some weight lifting. And I notice I don't pick up as many colds now either. I bet it is because of all the good vitamins we are taking.
