Stall Breakers
So I always thought the whole up protien levels to break stalls didn't have any real validity but I'm a total believer!!! I've been stalled for the last two weeks, yesterday I made myself drink two additional protien shakes (I got the majorly unhappy surgeon lecture yesterday at my 5 month appt) and today the scale was down two pounds. Of course it means that I hardly eat anything because I'm full of protien drinks so maybe that's what does it but whatever...it worked!!! Yippee!!!

What was your protein before and what did you increase it to?
to be perfectly honest I was getting perhaps 40-50 grams a day between protien shakes and food. It was pretty bad. And he wants me getting 80-100 of which 80 should be from protien shakes alone. I've gotten myself up to 70 and have managed that every day since my appt. But it means I eat at most one meal a day because I'm always full of protien shakes. But he'd rather me do that than eat so I guess I'm following his plan. I just have to tell myself when I get hungry to have a protien shake first, eat later if I"m still hungry. So I'm doing two shakes a day and one south beach diet protien bar (10 grams of protien) and usually a meal which I try to make mostly protien. Technically the protien bar should probably be another shake but I just can't force down three a day.
