Is this happening to you?
Christy, I think it's probably normal to have your appetite returning. I try to eat my 3 small meals and get in my protein. If I don't get enough throughout the day, I feel hungry in the evening. I keep easy to eat foods out of sight. I try to eat fruit if I feel hungry. I just cut up a water mellon and a honey dew mellon. I keep it in the frig and will have that as a healthy way to curb my hunger. I also do my best to sip water all day while I'm at work. I drink coffee too, although I understand it's not the best choice (dehydration effect). Sometimes in the evening I have a couple sugar free popsicles. Plus I work out at the gym now, and burn off a bunch of calories. I have always been told that If I get hungry to have an extra protein shake and you'll feel full. I had the same thoughts about my appetite, but I have made a life changing decision to stay focused and stick to the plan forever. I love the way I feel and never want to return to the way it was. I think it's normal. My wife had her surgery a year before me. I know she has her appetite, but she knows her limits. She can eat a little more than I can, but she eats healthy and is maintaining her 120lb weight loss. At least you are aware of how you feel and that's important. Your doing great! Take care. Michael
Hi, I too think that my appetite is back, BUT I also think that it is mostly head hunger!
When I get this way I just feel my pouch and say to myself "I do not feel hunger here, no growling, or empty feeling" and then I KNOW THAT IT IS ALL IN MY HEAD. I stick with my three meals a day and I have 3oz at a time, drink lots of water and excercise.
I have upped my protein and water and that seems to help. I now sometimes have to remind myself to eat. I hope that it stays this way with me for a very long time. I do not snack, just sip water or protein drink, very boring life, but it sure is going to be worth it all. Good luck.
Blessings

I'm glad to see this thread. I've noticed that I can eat more and I'm NOT sticking to three meals a day. I'm going to make a more conscience effort to do the right thing. My doctor said that I could eat up to 1200 calories a day but the weight loss is slow enough now. Most days I'm getting just under 1000 calories, which seems too much to me. How many calories are you guys taking in?
What a coincedence! I logged on to post this same question! The twist to mine is that I am craving sweets and carbs! Unfortunately, they don't make me sick, I wish they did. I know it is head hunger, but I am getting really worried. I am down 74 pounds, with 15 more to go to goal. I love the size 8's and 10's I am wearing, and feel wonderful. Unfortunately, eating meat of almost any kind makes me sick, carbs sit sooo easy. I know I should avoid them at all costs, but it is hard. I don't have them in the house, but everyone brings stuff to work! Uhggg... Anyone else having trouble with meat?

Sandy, I find that I have a hard time still with pork and even deli sliced meats. I absolutely cannot eat any kind of sandwich. What I can eat is anything I can cut up into small bites, for example, steak or fi**** doesn't work with the pork though, but I can eat about 4-6 oz of steak or fish, providing it is cut into little bites and I try to eat it slowly. I too have no problem with carbs and find it too easy to snack on them...one thing my nutritionist told me was that if I felt hungry to get a big heaping tsp of peanut butter and slowly eat it off the spoon. She said it was a great high protein snack and eating it slow should help with the hunger. I haven't tried it yet, because I don't really like peanut butter too much, but I will eventually. Good luck
