What Are Ya'll Doing This Weekend?

Can you tell I really get excited about weekends? Don't get me wrong, I like my job but I LOVE my weekends. We hired a landscaper to give us a "wow yard". He did his thing, but I love lots and lots of color. Right now, we still have minimal color. Both this landscaper and the one I hired at work make fun of me about this color issue. My thought is, why plant it if it doesn't have color? Even if it doesn't flower it should have a pleasing color to the leaves. So...I'm going to the lant nursey to find lots of color! I'm sure the landscaper will think I messed up his project. Oh well, he should have listened to me the first time. Hope you all have a great day!

Hey Wanda, I love gardening and color have fun today. We have some landscaping to do in our front yard this year - last year we ripped out a bunch of stuff that we didn't love and have a clean slate to start this year. I think we can start it in a few weeks the weathers been nice so hopefully that continues. This weekend we are putting together a new Gazebo and patio set we bought ... After that we are taking the girls to a animal farm / park to play, play, play. Tomorrow - I am starting my "clean out, throw out, donate and get rid of PROJECT" for my attic ... We have so much STUFF to go through and get rid of. have a great weekend everyone! Hugs, Britt

WEll, today I will be cleaning and then tonight I am going to my nieces school musical. Tomorrow (Sunday), I will be going to church then I am having a "Pure Romance" party. I can't wait. WE will have sooo much fun. I have people coming just because they want to see me since I have lost so much weight... I am so excited for Sunday to get here.... Hope you have fun redoing your yard.... Sounds like fun actually. I am looking forward to the warmer weather so I can do some stuff in my yard. Yard work. It's nice out today, so I will rake the yard, fertilize and treat for bugs. I also need to check my irrigation so that I'm not wasting water. I don't do much landscaping, but I try to keep it nice. Alittle color with some nice plants in the front yard. Too much makes a high maintenance yard (pulling weeds). Here's an idea for those who like color and flowers in the yard, I like to add tomato and pepper plants within the plants I have. They look nice and when they start producing, you have healthly stuff for your salad. Have a great weekend. Michael

Well, I'm at work! Only two more weeks of working on Saturday and then tax season is over! WOO HOO! I am taking my daughter shopping at that resale store where I got all my cool new clothes last week. And I'm cleaning out my closets and drawers AGAIN to get rid of more things that are too big. I need to make more room for Henry to move in. We were going to start bringing some of his things over this week, but he ended up having to work because one of his co-workers practically chopped her thumb off in an accident at her other job and had to have it partially amputated, and then the last co-worker's dad died a few hours later, so he is off to California. So it is just Henry pulling ALL shifts at the restaurant. They are trying out a new cook this afternoon, so hopefully he will work out and Henry can get a shift off by mid next week. I think the kids and I will be going to the movies tomorrow. They want to see Meet the Robinson's, and I want to see Blades of Glory. Looks hilarious! And I have the usual running around to do too...grocery shopping, returning things, etc. The weekend will be gone before you know it.

I need to find a re-sale shop like yours! I drove all the way to Tampa last night after work to shop. It seemed like every top or skirt that I picked up was at least $80. I didn't find anything I liked and then had to drive all the way home empty handed! It was really kind of funny...pathetic..but funny. I know this is an exciting time for you. It was just a few years ago that I was rearranging my house to make room for my husband. Having to move from my house may have been a deal breaker for me. Luckily, he loved my house as much as I did so it wasn't an issue for us. Have fun at the movies! Let us know how you liked it.

Well...I only get one day off...which was today. So I had to clean and do laundry, then went to the store to get dog food. Then got a wild hair and decided it would be fun to try and make butter chicken (it's an awesome Indian dish if you've never tried it). So that was actually pretty fun and my little bowl was pretty tasty at the end. Even made homemade naan. Of course I have a TON of leftovers so I'm glad we liked it Back to work tomorrow *sigh* Corinna Q

Sunday was a fun day for me. My DH finally came home from a week-long business trip. We went down to the lake where they were having speed boat races. I wore shorts for the first time this year so my poor white legs could get some sun. It was so nice to sit there in the sun for awhile. It is a beautiful, sunny day today.

It was a nice weekend. I stayed busy with my yard work. The lawn is shaping up. Still have a few areas that will need attention. Water sealed the privacy fence, fertilized and bug treated the lawn and did a few adjustments (some replacements) to my irrigation. I even went out for a long trip on my motorcycle. My wife isn't interested to ride on the back of my bike. Can't say that I blame her. It was a great weekend. Hope everyone enjoyed their's. Michael
