Would like to introduce myself -

I've finally made my way over to the November 06 surgery forum and found the conversation interesting. My name is Michael "waterman" from Jacksonville FL. It's nice to see how others are doing that had their surgery in the same month that I had mine. My surgery was on 11/06/07. I have lost a total of 73lbs so far and it looks like other's are close to that amount of weight loss. Congratulations to everyone who made this life changing decision. I'm so happy I did.

Hi Michael! Nice to see you here. You will love the people on the November board. They are great! You've always been a source of encouragement to everyone on Dr. Jawad's board. I'm sure our November buddies will love having you here. You are really doing well. I've lost 64 pounds so far and feel great as well. I've come so far from that day we first met in the hospital! I hope to meet you in person again some day.

Hello everyone. Thank you for the friendly welcome. I will flag this forum in my bookmarks so that I remember to stop by often. Actually the internet is my only form of support. Jacksonville Fl has a couple support groups, one on the Naval Base (Really nice group of people) and I believe one of the local surgeons has one too. I'm comfortable chatting here online. The local support groups are in the evenings (and far away) and I would rather work out at the gym. I feel pretty motivated at this stage. My wife has also had the RNY surgery, so we are good support for each other. It will be nice to chat with everyone here. So until then, have a great week. Michael

Hi and welcome to the board. I had surgery on the 14th of November and am down 94 pounds. I love this message board and look at it everyday. This as been one of the best things I have ever done. Deb

hi Well done on your progress! As a brit there is little support here in the UK and the product choice is limited! However regularly in the US and getting there over half way to target start 444 now down 114 lbs to 330 target 220 . Keep it up!
