Not Enough Protein?!

I saw the doc today and I was surprised to hear that my protein levels were a little low. It seems like that's all I get in is protein. I get 80 or more a day. He said to up it to 100. He also said that it will help with the hair loss. I have achieved almost 60% of my expected weight loss already so he was happy with that.

Initially this doc recommended 65 grams but for whatever reason my body seems to need more. I've been averaging around 80 grams per day. Normal range for the lab work began at 6.1 and mine was within normal limits but still a little low at 6.7. I think 45 grams per day seems low but if your labs are ok, then you can't argue with success! For me 45 grams per day would not keep me healthy.

Have you had your labs yet? I guess that's the only way to tell for sure.
Your weight loss is awesome! I started at 234 and I'm down to 170. Their goal for me is 131. I can't imagine it yet--but I'm working on burning that image into my brain. But then of course, I'm also working on becoming a tall blond.
