How much can you eat?

My Doc recommends 50 grams and I shoot for 60. I think I will add 2 protein drinks per day to my diet to see if the added protein and calories will kick it up a notch. I was inspired by someone on the boards that said her Doc recommends 80 grams per day just in supplements. Will let you know how it goes. Val

I know where you are coming from. There are some times that I can eat about 2-3 bites of pizza and be full. And then there are times that I can eat the whole slice. I can only eat a couple of bites of a salad. Salad just doesn't sit well with me. I get full too quickly. My friend takes me out every Friday night for dinner and it is a pain in the but trying to find something to eat. To me, I feel like it is a waste of money for him. Especially when I only can eat about 3-4 bites of the food. I had surgery in Nov. and I know that everyone loses weight differently. I was 230 and now I am 160. Has anyone noticed that when you go to the doctors office their scales area laways off by at least 5lbs or more. It drives me crazy because I work hard to lose this weight and when I see a certain number on my scale and then see it higher at the doctors office, I could just scream! ahhhhhh! at least I only need 30 lbs to be at my goal weight but I would love to lose 35-40lbs more.

Ana, that is a great weight loss! I started at 234 and I'm currently stuck at 170. Every day I hope to see the numbers 160 something...but not yet. I can eat a lot more that a couple of bites when I go out to eat, but I haven't tried pizza yet. I just don't imagine that sitting well with me. It's funny how we are all so similar but yet so different. Congrats on your great success.
