4 Month Update!!!

Well, I will keep this short and sweet.... I am doing well since the stricture dialation and that is all going good.... I started my journey at 309..... I had my surgery at 290.... and I am now at 218... That gives me a total loss of 91 pounds since I started my journey and 82 pounds since surgery... Wooo Hooo...... Things are lookin good and so am I..... LOL... Thanks to all of you for being here every step of the way... Shawn M.

Thanks so much Wanda!!!!! I put up a couple new pics... my avatar is new and I put a new pic up on my page.... I don't know about a new attitude... I still in a pretty bad funk with my depression, but I am working with my doctor and he has upped my anti-depressant, so hopefully soon I will see a difference... I am getting a little better, but not so much yet... at least the weight is coming off again so that helps some as well... I am working on keeping my mood as up as I can, but most days it is really hard.... Well, thanks again.... Shawn M.

Congratulations! You look GREAT! I can't believe you've lost SO MUCH! I just broke a 3 week stall yesterday and I'm relieved. Keep your chin up. Hopefully the meds will start working on your depression. Just remember, you look Mahvalous dahlink!

Thanks so much Kim... I called my shrink today because the tweak in the meds doesn't seem to be helping, so hopefully I will hear from him tomorrow about what we can do to make things better for me.... At least I know my warning signs... I don't want to end up in the hospital, so when I start feeling down we kick it in the butt right away, I can't wait around for the weather or situations to get better... I have been hospitalized 4 times for depression in the past and it is so hard on the family. My longest stay was 6 weeks... ugghh... can't let it get that bad again.... I am confident we are catching this early enough and we will get it under control.... Thanks again for the support.... Shawn M.

Shawn, you are doing wonderful, and you are looking great! I know about the struggle with depression, I am battling that also. Hopefully with better weather arriving soon, and days longer, we will start feeling better! I have been trying to walk everyday just to get out of the house/office, that seems to help.
