Sometime I could just smack myself
Well sometimes I can be so hard headed.
I have been doing a big NO NO.. I've been snacking, on good foods, but still snacking. So I went to my DR on Monday & he said I should have lost more weight than I have & I must be snacking. So he told me only 3 meals a day, each meal being 4 oz of either meat, chicken, beans, cheese or fish. & NOTHING else.
I was kinda freaking out when I left & took all what he said in over my 2 hour ride home.
Monday night was kinda rough...I missed my sugar free jello for dessert...but I made it.
So I have been averageing 1 pound a week & had had stalls a few times too.
Well since Monday I have lost 2 pounds & my size 18's fit good now, so inches as well, so It's working
I think it's weird that my DR would go against everything the nutritionalist said to eat...but I guess he knows what he's talking about. I'm sure once I reach goal I can eat a more balanced diet, with veggies & fruits.
So now 4 days after my appt. I could just Smack myself for not listening to him in the first place..LOL

By your profile it looks like you lost well over 60 pounds. Did he say what his expectations were? I see my physician on the 22nd. Now I'm afraid to go. I haven't lost as much as you.
Isn't your Dr expecting a lot? My BMI started out at 37, I was 229 pounds, had my surgery 11/20 and thought that the 66 pounds I am down was doing great! I see my surgeon tomorrow, wonder what he will say? I do know people who lost 100 or more pounds in 3 months, but most of them started with a whole lot higher BMI..
I guess I will find out tomorrow, and I was feeling pretty good about things....

I had RNY 11/7/06 and I am down 62 lbs. I went for my 4 mo. check up this past Wednesday and my dr. said I was WAY ahead of where I should be. He said my weight loss need to slow down to about 5 lbs an month of I am going to end up loosing too much! Sounds to me like you are right on target. Don't be afraid of going to the dr. If something is wrong, that is where you need to be. Congratulations on the loss. You are doing and looking great!
