Ok ....so where is EVERYONE in their weightloss?
Hi Tabitha,
I am three months out and have lost 75 lbs. I am again stuck on a plateau but I'm working thru it!!
I was a size 26 pants/3X shirt before surgery, 312 lbs. I am now down to 18 pants and between 1X/2X shirt, 237 lbs. Life is so wonderful since WLS!!! I feel 10 years younger and have energy thru the roof!!
I work out for 2 days and take 1 day rest. I do cardio one day and weight machines the next.
My tip: count that protein and tha****er. I try to get at least 60 grams of protein and drink at least 64 oz of water.
We are ALL winners!!

Hi Tabitha,
I'm doing great, today 14weeks out I'm down 54.5 lb. Start weight 246.5 weight today 192 lb. I've gone from wearing solid and sometimes tight 20's to xl or large and size 12/14 pants. I can't believe it!! I feel great.
I do cardio 4x a week and resistance bands every other day.
What can I say, life is grand!!
Michelle
I started at 311 day of surgery and I was 244 this morning For a grand total of 67lbs. I started in 24/26, mostly 30-32's & 4x shirts. to size 20 jeans and 20-22 shirts. Ive only lost 2lbs in the last 10 days. Ive been on a plateau pretty much for 2-3 wqks. Guess Im losing inches, because my clothes are getting looser!
Im really trying hard to make excercise a part of my life. I only seem to manage 2x/wk. Much easier for me to exercise when the weather is nicer, I hate to leave when its snowing! When I go I ride the bike for 10 mins to warm up, and I do 20 mins on the eliptical ( I couldn't do 2 mins when I started) Then I do 30-50 crunches on the ab-lounge and some arm exercises on the bowflex.
Im getting there... one day at a time!!
I'm out almost 3.5 months and down 57 lbs. I started at 202 and wearing size 18 and now weigh 145 and wear a size 12 pant. I'm a lightweight and didn't think I would lose as fast as I have. So I am thankful.
My downfall has been not exercising yet. I am recovering from a BAD flu where I was off work for 2 weeks and a day. And I'm still so weak! It has been hard just to eat at all, let alone try to get in all my water. But, I'm on the mend and starting to feel some life return.
My fiance and I are going to work out together. He is a personal trainer and will help me develop something good for me. So I'm looking forward to that plan.
My tip: Stay away from the carbs as much as possible. Drink when you are hungry if it's not time to eat.
A little over 3 months out and down 88 lbs.. Started at 273 now I am 185. I havent been at this weight in almost 10 years. The best news is as of today I am no longer OBESE, I am now considered just OVERWEIGHT with a BMI of 29.9. I never thought I would be this happy to be OVERWEIGHT. I was wearing a 22/24 top and 20 to 22 in pants, I am now wearing a 16 in top and 12's or 14's in pants depending on how they are made. The weight loss is slowing now, I need some motivation to get up and move. I have done so little exercise that I could probably jump start my weight loss just by moving.
My tip: Get the protein in, if I get the bare minimum I do not lose very fast. When I exceed my goal, I lose. Isopure is my protein of choice, flavors: Alpine Punch, Blue Raspberry and Grape is my absolute favorite.
RNY on 06/30/14
Oh my gosh.. im so sad.. im only down 30 lbs.. i was 250 now 220.. perhaps its im a band not a rny.. but still..i really need to do some of those tips.. water water water.. and protein protein protein...no excesize lately either.. need to do that.. erghhh..this definetly was not an easy fix..
Brie don't be sad!!! When is the last time you lost 30 pounds presurgery?? And even if you did, did you keep the weight off? Keep in mind it took a long time to put it on, it may take some time to take it off. But be confident that you will keep it off! And you will continue to lose! You are doing fantastic. Don't be sad.
I am at 51 lbs lost 242 the day of surgery and 191 this morning. I was in 2x-3x and 44-46 (or 24-26) pants and now I am solid in 16-18 or some 18-20's most of my weight is in my belly still. I am not exercising as much as I should ok...well not really at all although I have been doing more stairs lately and not taking the elevators and parking farther away from the door.
I agree with Melissa...when is the last time you can say you lost this much weight pre-surgery..... I haven't been under 200 lbs in nearly 30 years....so it is a godsend for me.
Fresh energy bakery bars are great protein sources that is my best tip!
Hi, I started out 255 on day of surgery, I am down to 207, I am at another stall, but that is okay, I just upped my water and protein and we will see. 48lb lose, some days I think it is less, I have lost inches when I do not lose poundage.
My tip: Just keep on moving and water, protein, and move some more. I am 31/2 months out.
