Protien Shakes

I have been using the Amplify protien shakes from GNC. I really like the Chocolate, and the Chocolate mint, but thier other flavors are few, and not very tasty. i would like more variety. What are the rest of you using? I have trouble getting my protien in, so try to drink a couple of shakes a day... Thanks! Sandy

I LOVE Nectar Cappuccino Latte. Also the Nectar Carribean Cooler. I put the rum flavored SF syrup in it and pretend that it is a pina colada! Have you tried the Isopure ready-to-drink drinks? 40 grams of protein and it comes in Kool-aid like flavors that can be a nice change from the shakes.

I use the Isopure ready to drink from GNC. I also like the Nectar Roadside Lemonade and I use Unjury unflavored in my decaf coffee as well. I really like the unflavored stuff, you can put it in everything. Shawn M.

I ordered the Nectar brand from the store here at OH.com The unjury I order from www.Unjury.com That is the only place I have found that... There are other non-flavored brands out there, this is the third I have tried and I like this one the best.. the others just weren't non-flavored in my opinion... Another good source to try is www.vitalady.com She sells lots of samples that you can buy so you are not investing in large containers that you may not use if you don't like it... I would try her first and see what you can find.. I believe she sells the Nectar brand stuff as well... Good Luck... Shawn M.

I love www.bariatriceating.com you can order lots of samples there Daily I use elite vanilla protein mixed with 4oz of milk, and 6of of chai tea made w/ tea bag for a 'latte' this is SO good. I also use Elite Chocolate Mint- but I make it into a hot chocolate at night...to make it hot you have to be careful if it's too hot the protein clumps and is quite gross. Put a scoop in your mug, then add cold water, just enough to make a very thick paste of cold water & powder. Then, add your warm/hottish water to that and the hot chocolate is yummy. I like Nectar fuzzy navel with orange crystal lite and water, also Nectar lemonade w/ crystal lite lemonde. Unjury protein is good too, for awhile I was mixing it with FF/SF pudding as well. I just ordered some Matrix Cookies & Cream after hearing rave reviews about it, can't wait for UPS to arrive with that.

Hi Sandy~ I have tried probably 10 different brands and my all time favorite is the Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Instantized Whey...its got the black label. I buy it in the 5 1/2 # tubs for like $27 at Food 4 Less. You do mix this particular brand with milk-or at least thats what they recommend. It makes roughly 80 some shakes...and its the best I have had. The strawberry and chocolate taste like flavored milk-and the vanilla ice cream flavor I add sf syrups to and make it whatever I want and tastes like a milk shake! They also sell it in the 2# tub for like $14. I have not tried the rocky road or mint etc-but everyone who has-has said they are good as well. They do sell that brand at the local health food store-howeverr-the tubs I buy are $55 there-so I drive across town to save the money. They sell it at allstarhealth.com and its very close to Food 4 Less price with flat shipping rate of 5.95. Also-on bariatriceating.com, you can click on the protein and see something you would like to sample before purchasing-and then click on requests and they will send you 2 samples of protein-whatever flavors you request. You will get them in about a week-they have several different nectar type products-so maybe that will help you before spending the money.....I hope this helps you. Good luck-Janet

THank you so very much! I pass 2 different Food 4 Less stores everyday in my commute. I iwll definately give this a try. I really do appreciate all the time everyone has given in responding to this, and the different brands and ideas! Hopefully, I will be able to find more variety to help keep me on track! Sandy
