Overcoming My Fear of Underwear

After losing 50 lbs. I knew it must be time for new underwear and bras. I've been looking for weeks but I was intimated with the sizing. I finally found out that underwear sizes are half your pant size. OK, easy enough. I'm wearing size 14 pants now so I should buy size 7 underwear. My first stop was Victoria Secrets (which was scary in itself!****pt searching for size 7...but no luck. Finally a snooty size 2 clerk told me that they only sell size S, M, L! No V.S. for me. I shopped other stores and wandered the racks of thongs, boy cut, high-cut, mide-rise, low-rise, and high-rise, hipsters, french-cut, lace, micro-fiber, spandex, etc. Good grief! Out of desperation I bought some cotton mid-rise hipsters. When I got home I tried them on and felt like a Diva! Now, I remember...panties aren't really suppose to be tall enough to touch your bra! So if any of you want to lift your spirits just go buy some shorter undies--but you might want to skip Victoria Secret until you feel strong at heart.

I did that shopping about two weeks ago.... It sure did feel good to get out of those huge briefs that I was wearing and into something a bit more flattering.... The bras I am still having a hard time with finding, because I have a small cup and still need a 38/40, it is hard to find anything smaller than a C cup in the styles that are comfy for me, so I am still wearing the bigger bras that are getting way too big for me.... I never realized that the underwear size was half the size of your pants, but that makes sense now that I think about it... Thanks for the tip, that will help with future shopping trips.... I need to make another trip to the store on the hunt for bras now.... OH and your post made me smile as well, I can spend hours trying to find my way through the many syles of panties out there, and it can be very confusing if you don't know what you are looking for....
