Does anyone get nausea also?

I think that may be part of my problem Monica. I do notice that I feel a little better if I can force more fluids and food. Once I get over a certain threshold, the nausea seems to subside. It's just being able to maintain that balance. I'll keep on it! Thanks.

I went through a couple of weeks where suddenly everything I ate nauseated me. I'm not sure why and now I'm fine. I didn't actually vomit ever just felt crappy after just a few bites of food. Liquids were fine though and I've not had any problem with them. But I do experience getting nausea if I have waited to long to eat or drink. My first few bites/sips make me feel crappy. So I try really hard to not let myself get there. I also get very light headed and dizzy when I'm dehydrated so that would be another sign that you're not getting your fluids in enough. I think the only thing I could tell you is take it slow. It might be that you are drinking too big of gulps or too quickly. Also pay attention to how much air you might be swallowing. I have to be SO careful about that because I tend to swallow a lot of air and that makes my stomach pretty upset, or if I take too much at one time. I literally have a glass of water next to me constantly and take sips whenever I see it otherwise I'd never get enough because I can't just gulp down a glass quickly anymore. I hope that helps a little. You should still ask your Dr about it. This shouldn't be about being miserable!! Corinna Q

I was just going on to ask about nausea, and saw your post. I had my surgery 11-20-06. I have lost 54 pounds, and was doing great until about a week ago, when suddenly, everything is making me nauseas and have even thrown a few times. And it is soft things also, and things I have been eating. I was only having occassional trouble with some meat prior to this. I am hoping it passes, seems everyone has experienced it to some degree. Good luck! Sandy

Hope you're feeling better Sandy. Nausea is the worst! Let me know if you hear any other good suggestions to beat it. Be sure to mention it to your Dr. Peg

You too Peg?? I was gonna post a ?? about it when I saw your post. Most everything is making me nauseaus now. I have " thrown " a few times ... but I think thats mostly with food that just isnt agreeing with me yet. But, even water makes me nauseaus. I've tried doing everything with the water... bottleled to tap to boiling it... doesnt matter. When I first get up I'm fine.... I have breakfast.. a few corn flakes with a little milk and I'm fine... it's after I get my first drink of water that it seems to start. I havent weighed since at Dr's last month... then I had lost 34 pounds. My next app. is on the 28th this month, Im trying to hold out till then !! Like you I'm tired of feeling miserable.... when we should feel pretty good... I do otherwise !! I saw where someone mentioned the gall bladder.... I know mine needs to be taken out... they just couldnt do it at the same time... maybe?? Ill have to ask my dr about it. Hope you feel better soon.. Huggs, Lori

Hi Lori, Sorry to hear you're having problems as well. I had my Gall Bladder out 30 years ago. I can't understand it. Right now I am trying to increase my food intake and fluids as suggested above. I am going to mention it to the Dr. on my next visit. Something's got to give! Take care and hang in there, Peg

I was the one that mentioned the gallbladder, and I had it taken out on Friday. The doc said it was so inflammed that it was impacted in my liver.
