Hi Girlfriends !
How is everyone doing? I hope you are all starting to see some dreams come true. The last two and a half months have flown by since you all started to have your surgery.
I wonder if anyone is starting to feel cold yet? They say that happens. Or maybe it's only after loosing alot of weight....hmmm. I will be glad when I feel that way. I have crocheted myself a really pretty black shawl. The problem is though, that I still have all my fat to keep me warm. That is a medical fact. I remember learning many years ago in nursing school. One of the functions of fat is to keep us warm. Of course we all have enough fat for a couple of people but that all changes as we all know..thank God
I do remember years & years ago when I was trim & healthy, I would usually get chilly at night. My feet too. I would go throw on a sweater or jacket......and a pair of fuzzy slippers.... I haven't felt that way in years. Unless it's like January/Feb, like it is now. So I will like that I think. You know that cozy kind of feeling you get in like October when it gets really brisk outside, and the leaves turn gorgeous colors ? And then you want to go home and make a pot of soup for the first time since the winter before ?
Well, that is only one thing I am looking forward to. Another is this I have so many hopes and dreams.
I'm not far behind you My day is coming in exactly 2 weeks. Please dont' forget to sign my surgery page, if you haven't already.
Love to all !
Cissy
Thanks for reminding me of the distance I have come!
Yes! I get cold...quite cold, and I never did before. I am hoping my summer will be better, as I live in Phoenix, (followed ex husband out here to Hades)!
I still am afraid to get down in the tub as that is the first thing I did after I got home from surgery, I was in for a week do to asthma. I jumped in a deep bubble bath and could not get out!!!
I had to scream until my neighbor heard me and contacted my daughter who lives a few feet from me.
I will get up the nerve to do it again...but maybe after another 50 pounds or so....
I am off to sign your surgery page...
Good luck!
