Recliner chair question

did you all have one, or at least a very comfy chair when you got home from surgery? some people have said its the best thing to have while recuperating. I have a way too comfy couch and not a chair except a rocker. Im afraid I won't get off the couch, I know for sure I wont without assistance. I am seriously considering going out and buying a newrecliner.... We''d get alot of use out of it, so it wouldn't be a waste of money. what do you think? thanks Cissy

I used mine a lot when I came home from the hospital ... I slept in it too the first few nights home. I found it comfortable and easy to get in and out of it all by myself. hugs, Britt

I used my recliner, my couch and my bed.... I found it simple to get out of any of them and it all depended on how my back felt to what I sat or layed on to make me the most comfy... I guess it just depends on you and what you thnk would be best for you personally. Good Luck. Shawn M.

I did not have a recliner to sit in. I sat on a regular couch and was up and down from it all the time. I slept in a twin bed at my in laws for the first 2 weeks and was then able to crawl into a queen size bed.

I used the recliner for the first week. I could NOT get in and out of bed very easily and I had alot of pain trying to sleep all night flat. For me, it was really great. I would have gotten through it either way, though.

I couldn't sleep in the recliner...I don't know why...just couldn't get comfy. I liked the couch a lot!!! And...I slept at night in my bed, but only slept a couple hours at a time. I purchased a few new pillows to help prop me up and make me comfy - cheaper than a recliner.

Thanks ladies, I decided to go for it ! I need a new chair anyway. I 'm going to Sams to buy this nice cushy soft leather one. I know I will love it surgery or no surgery. Hope you all have a great day !!
