I got another fill
Last night I got another fill. 1.5 cc's and now have a total of 3 in my band. I thought I would feel different but I really don't however, after drinking a cup of decaf sf carmel/mocha latte on the skinny I felt full. I did expierence GAS big time last night and very bad gas pains but they have subsided now. Has this happened to any other bander? I am losing slowly but he says I am losing at a good pace. 1-2 lbs a week. I wi**** would come off faster. Let me hear your input. Thanks Jackie
Sounds like all went well again for you. I can't offer much input since I am not a bander, but I do think that you are losing at a good pace.. I am losing about 3 pounds a week now (I think). I don't weigh myself every week so it is hard to tell. I know this past week I lost 4 pounds, but I have stepped up my exercise too, so I am sure that is why. I hope you get more input. Congrats on what you have lost so far though.

It really is a breeze it doesn't hurt at all. Dr Schram has me get in the crunch position ( like I am doing crunches) and I don't feel a thing. You will find that with restriction you won't feel so HUNGRY all the time. Continue to eat small amounts throughout the day, get your water in, take your vitamins, do the protein, and excericise! It truely is the key to success with the band. Good Luck and get moving! It's is slower for us than the bypass patients and we have to be that much more disciplined and work alot harder and the end result for us will be FANTASTIC! I totally cut out sugar and most carbs and that has helped alot. Message me with how things went for you today! Jackie
Jackie, it went totally fine yesterday. I was a little nervous also because I had been picking up my little ones earlier than I was supposed too (my kids are 3 y.o. and 18 mo. old). My surgeon told me not to do that because the port can shift and become inverted making it difficult to fill. I agree with you about getting moving. That is a major issue I have. I have trouble getting motivated to excercise, but I did not have this surgery for nothing. I am trying to think of it as merely a tool to assist the weight loss. I am going to the gym with my sister tomorrow, and looking into treadmills for the house. On another note. I don't mind if the weight loss is slow...as long as I am losing.
