2 Months & "First" Goal
Today I am 2 months out.... woooo hoooo... I hit my first goal today too... I wanted to be 50 pounds down from the surgery when I got to 2 months and I hit that exactly this morning when I weighed myself... I am so excited... so I am 50 pounds down from surgery and 69 from before the liquid diet.... Woooo Hoooo!!! I am so happy for myself....
I started at 309 the beginning of Nov.
I was 290 just before surgery
I weighed in at 240 this morning... Wooo Hoooo!!!!!
I still have to do my measurements for today, but I am down from a tight 26 to a comfy 18 so I know the results are there...... I am so thankful that I had this surgery!

Shawn,
That is sooo awesome. I am very happy for you. Doesn' t it just feel wonderful. I am 2 months 2 days post op and down 48 since surgery and 58 since 2 weeks prior. I started at 273 and 263 on my surgery date. As of this morning, I am 215 and on the countown to onderland which is my next goal by the time I see the doc on my 3 month post op (February 12th) Fingers crossed to make this goal.
Thanks Christy... and Congrats on such a great job that you are doing... I am sure you will hit your next goal.... I have not really thought about my next goal yet, but I think it will be like the 220 mark and when I don't know yet, I will have to sit and figure it out... I am just happy about hitting this goal today..... Congrats again to you and keep up the good work..

Good for you Shawn. Isn't this just the coolest thing ever??
Since everyone else is posting their two month I thought I'd have a go at it too.
I've lost a total of 71 pounds (that includes my pre op diet) and gone from a size 24/26 to an 18 and even some 16's. I didn't do my actual measurments either but just the difference in the clothing I can wear is plenty of proof for me I've finally started getting to the gym and can't believe how much easier it all is for me. I never dreamed it would be such a difference but the work out that would have had me dripping sweat before was such a breeze...guess I have to make it harder.

What am I doing wrong?? I am sooo happy for all of you. I have 10 more days until my 2 month anniversary & I am still only down 25 lbs. I started @ 261 & now am @ 236...Seriously the scale has NOT moved in 3 weeks. I feel like I am hungry all the time. I am getting all my protein in & liquids. Don't know what else to do...Also am walking at least 1/2 hour every day. I am sooo to the point where I almost don't even want to read these boards anymore because I am soooo jealous & envious of you all posting such great losses. I know that is not right but I just don't want to fail yet again. Any input would be greatly appreciated... Feeling blue in Michigan--Holly
Holly,
I hope this will give you some comfort......
I don't know if you noticed that it has been about 2-1/2 or 3 weeks since I posted a weight loss... I was at a stand still for almost that whole time. I took a look at what I was eating and realized that I was eating snacks in between meals on top of my protein supplements... I took out the snacks, stick with protein only for my meals again, and my drinks and it fell off again.... It is hard somedays, but I want to see that scale keep moving.... That head hunger can be the hardest thing to get past, but we have to put it to bed and not munch or snack.... Also, watch if you are eating any carbs... that can cause a stall as well. I noticed when I started eating oatmeal instead of yogurt for breakfast that I stalled as well.
Just a few tips to get past the stall, but other than that, I think you are doing fine... you also started a little less than most of us, so your weight will come off a bit slower, you have to look at the percentage that you have lost.
You are doing a great job and keep up the good work! I hope some of this was some help and gave you a bit of comfort.... Good luck sweetie...

I am the same as you, I am two months and about a week out and I have only lost about 30 lbs. I am at a stall as well. I do not eat snacks and I get my protein and water in, I walk alot, and still nothing. I do not weigh every week, I have measured and I have gone down in inches, which is a good thing. I too feel like I am failing this surgery as well, this is my last hope. I WILL continue to keep with everything and hope that when I go to the doctor on the 24th that it will surprise me. I started out at 255 the day before surgery and I go to support meetings and they do help me to be with the other girls that have "been there, done that" I had my surgery on Nov 7, 2006 and I think I am down to 225, BUT I also think this way "better down and slow than up and fast" We have to just keep our chin up and keep trying, dont give up what ever we do!!
