This might sound a little nasty, but I have these rash type red blotches over most of my body. First it started with my face from my neck up, and then on the back of my calves, and that was from walking with nylon pants on, and then now when I get in the shower, my skin burns on my butt and my thighs and my inner thighs. There's even some on my stomach. For some reason I think it might actually be fungal, only because it's everywhere, but I don't know what to do, or even if its normal.

Miranda, are you getting all of your water/liquid in? I have had several blotches on my arms, back and shoulders along with dry skin all over. I wasn't getting in enough water and was a little dehydrated. Drinking more has really helped. Dont know if your's is the same issue but thought this couldn't hurt.

Actually I would call your PCP... It probably doesn't have anything to do with your surgery. I had my tongue swell up on me, ended up being an allergic reaction to something...I think that we are just more in tune with our bodies.

I agree with the other ladies... I woud call your doctor... it does not sound like something you want to mess around with. Good Luck... Shawn M.

Hi Miranda, OH YES, I still have these nasty heat-fungal rashes. Mostly mine are in my groin area, behind the knees, in my elbow creases, sometimes under my armpits too. My PCP asked me when these started. Prior to surgery I would get heat rashes in those areas, but a little diaper rash cream would clear it up. But after I got out of the hospital, they turned out to be extremely nasty, burning, itchy, and really red. My PCP took one look and said that they were fungal infections, and put me on medications and a medicated powder to heal them up. They are mostly going away, but I have to continue with the powder to keep the areas dry. I also have been noticing dry patches on my face, with red blotches, around my eyes, on my cheeks, chin, lips, and behind my ears. I am drinking more fluids, hopefully this will help hydrate me more, and the dry skin will go away. Yes, go to your PCP -- get those taken care of quickly!
