I am 5 and a half weeks out and I have lost 20 pounds. I think maybe I have too much fat in my diet? I get all the protien and water in, I have added some veggies, but other than that I am not doing anything I am not supposed to. I started on surgery day at 254. I am down to 233.8. Frustrating.

Hello everyone. I am 36 pounds down from the day after I came home from the hospital (6 1/2 weeks ago) I think I will be down more after I poop many days worth. My weight has been the same for over 1 week, but I figure as long as I do what I'm supposed to do to the best of my ability, the pounds will come off. Linda

I pretty much feel bad at everyone else's spectacular weight loss. I am not doing nearly as good. I stalled at 1 week post op for 9 days and have only lost 1 1/2 pounds over the last week. So far, here I am: 10 days before surgery: 273 Day of surgery: 263 Six weeks & 3 days: 227 Total of 46 pounds, 36 since surgery.

Christy, don't feel bad! I am 7 weeks out, and down a total of 15 pounds... getting all my protein and water, eating the way I should and working out 30 minutes a day since one week out. I am disgusted... I had surgery for this?! 235 surgery day 220 now Trish

Trish, don't feel bad about your loss so far. You had a lot less to lose than a lot of us did. You should look at it as a percentage of your excess weight, not just as the number of pounds you've lost. You started at 235 lbs the day of your surgery which is a lot less than those of us in the 250-300+ range. Also, on a side note I'm really relieved to read that you guys had long stalls too. I stalled for almost 10 days too, which also partially coincided with my period so from what you guys are saying it seems like the period causes that to happen. I'm so relieved to know I'm not the only one who experienced that!

Trish, OMG I am So feelin ya. I had banding done on 11/8 @ 243.5 & today I weigh 226. I feel like sh*t. I am working out on the treadmill everyday. 30 in the am, 30 in the pm. I feel like a complete failure. I know I shouldn't. I dont eat candy, coke, cakes, cookies, or anything fattening. I dont eat much either. I called the MD office & they told me that I was doing just fine. I dont feel fine. I feel like I spent 16000 (b/c I didnt have insurance) & I am not getting anywhere. Day before surg. = 243.5 1/3/07 = 8 weeks today = 226.8 Total = 16.7 I am thankful for what I lost so far, but this really sucks

Hi everyone! I only had to do liquids for 2 days prior to surgery, so I didn't lose anything before surgery. In fact, every meal was the last supper. Here it goes: Day of surgery: 250 pounds 8 weeks out (Dec. 29th): 212 pounds Total loss: 38 pounds I am working out at least 3 days a week with weights. This will be the first holiday season that I actually lose weight!

Hi everyone, I too only had 2 days of liquids before surgery. Date of surgery -11/20/06 Weight on day of surgery - 246.5 current weight - 211.5 weight loss to date - 35lb. I've also been stuck the last week, but of course my period has been here that whole time also, it must be the reason. I've not had any problems with any foods or getting in protein and drinking the water. I feel blessed, almost 5 weeks and 35lb. Michelle
