NO PROTEIN!!!!

OK I had my surgery Nov 6th ...I am doing good besides this real bad bad cold and stomach virus i had last week..I so far lost 47 pounds..Problem is ..The last 2 weeks i have had no protein...I can't stomach it...Well i am trying to get back on board and just make myself or at least try really hard...When i kept getting sick i was like FORGET IT!!!I know big mistake now i am worried about hair loss...Do you guys think it's to late to start my protein back up and save my hair lol....I have'nt started losing any YET!!!! I am just kinda getting worried.. Thanks all my Nov friends..

It is never too late! Start that protein up ... it is SO important! Feel better!!!

It is really important to get your protein in...not just for your hair, but it is for healing too. Have you tried unflavored whey protein placed in soups or there is a really wonderful product call Nectar and you can mix it with crystal light and it is good. Take care

there's this protein drink I get that comes in litle packets as its called protidiet, and its orange flavor. It tastes like a chewable vitamin C, and I put Light and Healthy Orange juice in it, and some water to cut the sweetness, and my chewable multi vitamins and iron in it too. It's very good, and it's the only thing I can stomach myself right now.

There are many more health implications that will show up over time if you don't get back into getting enough protein in. Please experiment around. I have some samples from VitaLady I would be happy to ship to you. I have found I like the GNC brand of chocolate whey isolate, so I won't be using the samples. Just send me an e-mail and I'll get them out to you right away.

One more thing, low biotin is another big reason for hair loss and you can get supplements for that as well...I know another pill doesn't seem too appealing but hey if it helps with the hair loss I'm all for it. But, as others said, the protien is not just for hair loss is extremely important so you don't lose muscle mass as you're dropping the fat which will happen too, and many other longer term health implications. So try whatever you can. I discovered the other day that a 3/4 oz slice of cheese has 5 grams of protien so I've been adding several slices a day and that really helps, if you can stomach it. good luck Corinna Q
