What is everyone eating??
Hi everyone. I am 5 weeks out this coming tuesday.. I see my doc on Monday and will be advancing to soft foods.. YEY!!! What are considered soft foods? THose whom I have spoken to have named the same foods that I am able to eat now in the puree diet... Here is what I can eat:
Cottage Cheese
Pureed chicken/turkey
Tuna
ricotta
eggs pureed or chewed very well
sf pudding/jello
soup without chunks
So, what will be added?? I know every doc is different but if you could share your diet with me, it would be great.. Thanks Oh I am also down 28 lbs... I guess Im a slow loser but I also have a hard time getting all my protein in during the day. I try hard but my protein drinks are making me sick.. So I am trying to have one or two a day instead of 3 and eating more small protein meals..
Thanks in advance and congrats to everyone on their weight loss..

I was told that we can have thin sliced deli meat, fish, shrimp, tuna salad, chicken salad, beans, cheese, FF refried beans, peeled fruits (limited because of high sugar content), eggs, and soft cooked vegtables. They said to eat your proten source first, then if there is room eat the low carb vegtable. I haven't had room yet after eating the protein source. If you like Kool-aide flavors try Isopure carb free drink. It has 40 grams of protein and really helps me get in the required protein. Drink it in two sittings or sip it all day because you probably can't absorb all 40 at one time.
As far as your weight loss goes, you are doing great. I've only lost 16 pounds since the surgery (30 counting the pre-op diet.) I'm anxious to lose more but at least us slow losers have a better chance of our skin maintaining good integrity as we lose.
Hi!
I am just over 7 weeks out (Nov. 1st) my doctor is really bad about telling me to move on to different foods so I am going at my own pace. I havent had problems with anything & tried steak last weekend. But the things I eat the most are: cottage cheese, sf pudding, cheese sticks, laughing cow cheese wedges, Gerber Graduates (nutrionist recommended), Campbells Golden Select soups-Southwest Corn & Red Pepper/Black Bean are my favs, lean cusisine Manicotti is great-its basically all cheese & tomato sauce, instant oatmeal. I havent triedc tuna & chicken is too heavy for me most of the time. Eggs seem really heavy in my throat & stomach too-which I hate becasue I love scrambled eggs!!! I still am eating mashed potatoes too. Taco bell refried beans are yummy.
Good luck!!!
